What do you think of SOB?

The second row of any car is as smooth as glass. I like SOB a lot but not as much as its father. The fact that there is no tunnel on it anywhere is a travesty and hopefully will be fixed in the future (I doubt it though)
It is currently my #1 coaster because of the great front row night ride it gave me saturday (over Millennuim Force, kumba and others)
I rode it last Sunday after work was done, and all I can say is that the ride in my opinion is ten times better than it was last year, in my mind it is as rough as the Beast now. I can't wait to see what they did to FoF...

I didn't think that SOB was that bad of a wooden coaster when I first rode it. As time has progressed and I have ridden other rides such as Raven and Legend, though, my feelings about it have dropped significantly. Bigger is definitely not better when it comes to wood coasters.

I agree with DropThisFar. I also rode it Sunday with my 7 year old daughter. I noticed HUGE improvements over last year. I'm not sure what they did to it, but this time I didn't walk away with bruises. SOB is currently tied with my personal all time favorite... The Beast.

This is my daughter's second year of riding real coasters. She has wanted to get on SOB from the first time she looked at it with her eyes popping out of their sockets. As we were getting on SOB, I made it a point not to hype it up at all. I wanted to see what her real reaction was.
When the ride was done, I asked her what her review of the ride was. She simply said

"I wish The Beast had a loop."

Then I asked her if she liked it. She smiled so big I could swear that the corners of her lips touched behind her head as she nodded YES.

She doesn't know or care what G's,or Air time Mean. So I give a lot of weight to her review.

yea you have to admit it is a little bumpy and it could use a tunnel to spice things up, but im not complaining. i still dont think it can top the beast though...
I've only had two spins on SOB, both were coaster bliss!!! Any coaster that has close to a 60 to 70 foot drop as the last drop is awesome. One thing it lacks is a tunnel. Beast has 4 tunnels, even Beastie has a tunnel, where is SOB's tunnel? SOB is good but I love Papa, for obvious reasons, tons better!!!

So 16 positive reviews. 3 negative reviews. And 5 right in the middle. Kind of surprising, because this ride can give all types of rides like ravenguy mentioned. It can be smooth as glass or bumpy as hell. For those who have only gotten one or two rides, give it another chance in the future. I hope PKI's next woodie will be an airtime machine. Hopefully they won't wait another 20 years to do it though.

Everything above was my opinion. If you disagree, please respond in an intelligent fashion. But before you post,I warn you that some people say I'm just too smart to understand. Please take that into consideration.
We loved SoB last year when we discovered the second seat was the best on the ride. We rode numerous times there. However, this year they changed one thing that's made it almost impossible for me to ride and I'm a little surprised no one has mentioned it. They put a block underneath your feet that raises your legs about 3-4 inches. Now for me that means my large legs/thighs are jammed up into the lap bar making it painful to ride. I come off the ride now with bruises on the sides of my thighs. I think the intent here was to dampen some of the vibration and it seems to work but it makes it uncomfortable for heavy legged people like myself.

My wife has little or no problem with this block because she's shorter than I am and very slender.

I think I sucked. But thats because I was at the park just one day last June and it was closed.
So I guess that my view is a little clouded.
