What do coaster enthusiasts do in the winter?

Living in Kansas I usually have to just wait the winter out. What do coaster enthusiasts do during the winter who don't live in places where parks are open all year. Last year I had the privelige to go to IOA with my high school band, but this year I have no such plans. Anyone else with a similar situation?
I enjoy breathing
I go to theme parks like always!
I go to Knott's Berry Farm, Disneyland, and of course, SIX FLAGS MAGIC MOUNTAIN! Thank gosh I live in So Cali;)

True of all great coasters of the past and present, and future
it's a ride you'll remember for the rest of your lifeand probably will want to ride again.
Last winter I'd often drive up to Kennywood to see how Phantom's Revenge construction was moving along. Since Kennywood isn't building a new coaster this year, I guess I'll be playing a lot of RCT, improving Kennywood Boulevard, and planning next summer's trips.

As far as things that aren't coaster related, I'll be playing and watching a lot of hockey.

That ride sucked, but at least I got to see the ocean!

I played Roller Coaster Tycoon all last winter, but that is really what made me like coasters so much in the first place.

Thanks for riding Tidal Wave and enjoy your day here at Marriott's Great America!!

I sit on here, play indoor soccer, skateboard, and meet girls.
Fly to Vegas, go to Knott's for the Winter Coaster Solace, go to SFMM once in awhile and go to SCBB as much as I can to get almost-ERT-like rides on the Giant Dipper. SCBB is dead in the winter. I'm really surprised the other Bay Area parks (PGA and SFMW) don't stay open during the weekend like SCBB. Even limited operation like SCBB is better than absolutely nothing. :)
Well there's snow and RCT to help you pass the time. Here's hoping a big project for CP so I can pass the time reading about construction. (Winter of 1999 flew by)Hopefully by the time the season starts my corporate Kennywood will have turned 100. Thank God for a good hockey team too. MOOOOSE

When you live in Florida :) you visit the parks! Definitely one of the things I'll miss when we move early next year.
Go to school, and sleep.

My favorite Coaster is named after Poop, and I actually like Boomerangs! What is wrong with me?
I look at construction pics...NON STOP. I some times can sneak in a few coasters at school during comp classes.

I've always loved coasters, but I was never a fanatic like I am now. A winter or two ago, I saw one of the Discovery channel specials on coasters. I ended up going to their website, and eventually followed the links to sites like Screamscape and such.

So, I spend the winter snowboarding, and looking at coaster websites. Of course, now there's Coasterbuzz and I look at coaster sites every day, not just in the off season !

Btw, I've ridden more coasters this summer than I have the entire rest of my life (and I'm almost 28 !). This winter is going to suck - especially since ski area season passes are about 5x more expensive than amusement park season passes.

Current favorite coasters:
Wooden: 1) Beast 2) Raven 3) Son of Beast 4) The Boss 5) Timber Wolf
Steel: 1) Raging Bull 2) Millennium Force 3) V2 4) Wild Thing 5) Mr. Freeze
