When they went to a commercial break, they showed Mamba. Good to see it getting some t.v. time.

Last nite I finally got to watch the tape of all the shows. I was MOST pleased to FINALLY learn how X works. I had been very curious as to how the extra rails control the spinning of the seats. The Extreme Rides show did an excellent job of explaining the whole process.

Men are like parking spaces... the good ones are all taken and the rest are handicapped or too far away.

I learned one more thing (alluding to page 1 of this thread). I learned that we "enthusiasts" seem to think that the GP are complete idiots. I doubt it highly.... If anything, the GP is much more prone to picking a ride like Viper at SFMM or Batman as a top 10 ride, simply because of their dramatic reputations, and the fact that they look terrifying. GP aren't just kiddy ride fans. Let's not make those assumptions.

Hallelujah......see you at SRM, right after my beloved Kings have another shot (or two) at The Daddy and His Minions....(Shaq can call Kobe the game's best player, but where would the champs be without their DIESEL
Kings pulled it out. I thought they'd have to wait another year before the "passing of the torch," but it looks like it may be their time. If they'd quit crying for a foul after every play (are you listening Vlade?) I'd have more respect for them.
Why wasn't the Shaq Daddy getting getting the ball after returning from his 4th quarter rest? He was absolutley killing Vlade, Pollard, and Webber. I know the Laker strategy is to let Kobe go off in the 4th, but Shaq had been so effective. Must be some Zen-type stuff that's over my head.
Walton quote of the night: "Gimme a player."
Obligatory coaster reference: I like the Legend.

....thought here is that Phil (the genius) is trying to make Kobe FEEL like he's "the guy". Yes, Kobe is great and all, I really do respect his game....but there are NO players out there who can do anything about the physical presence that is Shaquille "the real deal" O'Neal.
Wang Zhi-Zhi may have the best chance of any active player.....pre-injury Arvyday Sabonis maybe could've held him down somewhat....Yao Ming, tall but too skinny. Big Scot - who I liked better in the persona of "The Samurai Center" at least tries to be physical, but it really is laughable, Shaq is too big and strong. (BTW, what made Hedo think he should use Pollard's hair-stylist)....;). As the tagline says: Love it live.
Back to coasters: I love the Raven....

....teachin' people about towel safety and proper towel usage...it's important!
I watched all 5 shows, and there was a few wrong things. They said that Batman-Dark Knight had seven inversions and is 150' tall! Sounds more like Medusa
I have another question- Does anyone know where I can find the layout of The Beast?

You Just Never Know
Can we stop picking on the Hulk coaster already? Yes it's #1, get over it. Are our memories so short that we've already forgotten that coasters like Thunderbolt and Steel Phantom are former number 1's?
It's B&M(which means quality), it launches and it's located in one of the better parks in the world(got it CP fans)?
What more do you need?
Number one in ONE poll, a poll that unless you visit TDC website or watch often enough you would have known nothing about. That's why polls are so disparate.
Frankly, it's not where coasters or parks rate in polls. I only care how *I* feel about them. Not everyone would agree with my choices, and it doesn't matter. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and no matter how much you try to justify an opinion, it's not always going to change someone else's opinion. Live with it.

Gator - I would have loved to have seen Sabo take on Shaq when he was in his prime (pre NBA days). That would have been a match-up. I don't think there's going to be anyone who can match him for some time: There's just too much real skill to go with his raw power.
I don't even pay attention to polls (of any kind) anymore.
The Raven ain't half bad, either.
