Most coasters run 2or3 trains. Is there any that run 5or6 or more?
Cedar Creek Mine Rine at Cedar Point have 5 trains, I have only seen 4 trains run however.
Easily California Screamin'. Correct me if im wrong, but doesn't it consistently runs 6 trains?
Doesn't Oblivion in England run 7 trains? I hear they can fit so many because the trains are only 2 cars long.
The Whizzer at SFGAm used to run 5 trains(long time ago) but now the most they run is 3.
Gemini at CP can run 6. Mine ride has 5 trains, but the demand isn't high enough to use all five, they can though because of the new computer they get for the ride last year.

MF Drops-15
SOB Rides-2
Doesn't the new computer that CCMR uses makes it capable to run 6 or 7? I thought I heard that somewhere but I am probably thinking wrong.

SAVE NAPSTER!
I forget what exact changes were made (RideMan knows), but I think that the blocking on Mine Ride has changed enough that it couldn't run more than four. Again, I don't remember what changes Consign made last year.

CCMR used to be able to run 5, but that would require two trains to be in the station at once: one loading, another unloading. Because of the manual lapbar release and locking, each coach in the station would require an attendant. 2 trains in the station at five coaches per train, that's 10 additional ride ops. But that's the old days. In recent history, CCMR has been running three trains. In very recent history (last three years), CCMR was running only two for some "unknown" reason. As of 2000 with the addition of a modern safety system, they can run three again. However they're having some troubles with timing and have many many setups on the second lift. As a result, they are usually running two. As for the other trains, four of the five are kept in the transfer house, but the location of the fifth remains a mystery. Does that about do it, Dave? :)

Looks like Jeff and I were on the same page. Yes, Consign added a new system. They cannot run more than three trains because all the old block brakes have been removed. Ever notice all the high flat spots on that ride? Those are the old brake runs. Add in the lifts and you've got a mess of blocks. With the removal of the brakes, the remaining blocks are:
station->transfer
transfer->1st lift
1st lift
1st lift->2nd lift (1st half of course)
2nd lift
2nd lift->final brakes (2nd half of course)
final brakes
station
With the brakes, split the two halves up.
Someone should really document the operational history of this ride :)

There are a few coasters that can run more than 3 Trains, here are just some of them
Oblivion - It runs with 6 Trains all the time, but In the first year of operation, it did run with 7 trains(I saw this happen too) but Alton noticed that a 7th Train always messed up the system and made it brake down every time they tryed it so they dont do it now.
Space Mountain(DisneyLand Paris) This coaster can run upto a maximum of 5 trains, and saw it happen back in may last year
Big Thunder Mountain(DisneyLand Paris) This can also run 5 trains, I believe the ones at the other disney parks can do this also
Rock N Roller Coaster(MGM) I believe this coaster can run 5 trains also, at least thats what a friend told me.
Also the Racer at KP can run 6. And unlike other racing coasters, those 6 rains are all on the SAME track. Continuous circuit baby.

All time Top 5: (1) Milleniun Force (2) Alpengeist (3) Hulk (4) Ice Dragon (5) Raptor
On CCMR, wasn't one of the old block brakes located before the final helix? On the POV they are still there but I don't know if they were removed last year.
Yes, only 3 trains on Mine Ride now.
How many cars on Wildcat? Six?
Matterhorn Bobsleds Disneyland run something like 8-10 on each track, for a total of 16-20.
At DCA, Mulholland Madness has I think 10. and Cal Screamin' can run 6 at once, but they own 8, I believe.

"X" marks the spot in 2001!
If I recall properly, The Racer at Kennywood has only 4 trains, thus making the possibility of running 6 trains very remote.
Everyone is forgetting DUELING DRAGONS!!!!!!
When they are running all six of their trains, they have the best capacity of any coaster. At least that is what I have heard... I believe it, considering that it is a world class coaster with NO lines!

I'd Rather Be Riding Rollercoasters
Technically, I think those Wild mouse coaster can run more than any others out there at one time.
Dueling Dragons only has two trains per track, for a total of 4 trains.
hmmm...the WildCat at Cedar Point could run 10-12 at a time when it was new...when CP rebuilt i in the late 80's the timing got screwed up...now we could, in theory(and have!), run 7 at a time. But, according to maintnance, this just isn't possible. Also, I think the missing CCMR train is with the 3 missing WC cars...wherever that is...
