Hi I was thinking about doing all the oldest open parks, well at least at the 10 oldest parks. Can anyone help. I would think CP is in that crowd.

Do you mean in just America? Or in the World? I'm pretty sure Kennywood is the oldest in America. Lagoon began as Lake Park, but moved to a new location in 1886. If you count the years it operated in the original location, it is the second oldest. I think Cedar Point is the third oldest. That's all I know, but I'm sure someone else can help you out.
I believe Lake Compounce is #1 at 1846, Cedar Point is #2 at 1870...

In no general order,Lake Compounce(1846), Cedar Point(1870), Idlewild Park(1878), Williams Grove, Geauga Lake(1888), Lakemont Park(1894), Conneaut Lake(1892),Kennywood(1898), Playland in Rye,NY, Midway Park in New York, also. I think I am close, but not 100%.

I think Santa Cruzz Beach Boardwalk is the oldest in California. It opened sometime around the turn of the century.

Elitch Gardens opened in 1890, but back then it wasn't an amusement park it was a place to picnic and they had some ball fields.
You have to specify the oldest parks open, or the oldest parks CONTINUALLY operating.
Kennywood has 3 of the oldest continually operating parks with KP(1898) Idlewild(1878) and Lake Compounce (1846)[thanks, Agent]
Cedar Point is older, BUT closed down as an amusement park for a good 10-20 years, that's why their oldest coaster, the Blue Streak, is only about 35-40 years old. They've been there, but the current CP incarnation is not that old.
The oldest park on earth is Bakken in Denmark.
Its been around since 1583.
Cedar Point never closed down as an amusement park. It didn't add a lot of new attractions etc during those lean years but the park itself was never closed down. Various midways, buildings, and attractions have been torn down... the park was going to be torn down for residential development.
Other coasters were torn down, Blue Streak was the first new one.

Trimper's Rides in Ocean City MD is in there having opened in 1887. Lakemont Park is also past the century mark dating to 1897.
Luna Park Melbourne opened on Friday 13, December 1912 along with its landmark attraction, the Scenic Railway which is still operating today. The Scenic Railway is the second oldest operating coaster in the world today.
