What about bonfantegardens?

Does the sale of paramount parks include bonfantegardens?

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I asked this in the news forum but there were no takers. I was actually asking about how it might affect Bonfante since I'm fairly certain Paramount runs Bonfante, and doesn't own it.

Yes. the deal includes the running of Bonfante Gardens and Star Trek the experiance in Vegas.

And I have seen this info posted in the news section here in at least 2 places.

Hmmm...I saw the info about Star Trek in the press release and in the news thread but nothing about Bonfante. In any case, that is good news.

I also saw no mention anywhere about Bonfontaine Gardens.

STTE is the fifth park in the five park package.

Um, there are 5 PKS parks. So did you mean the 6th PKS park?
In the media conference call CF stated that they would operate Bonfante Gardens. It will be a similar arrangement as what CF used to have with the mall of america.

Does that mean Cedar Fair will eventually dump Bonfante Gardens?

I've never been there but I'd love to go. Any word on how that park is doing? I know things weren't too good early on but hopefully that situation has changed since.

I suppose I better get there soon, before CF starts cutting down trees :)
Coming soon: Bonfante Concrete Slab.
The trees are the theme. I don't think the owners would allow that.

Hopefully they can add a real coaster.

It's a beautiful park and fun for the real little, but you could get bored fast if you don't enjoy a slow ride through a garden over and over and over and over again.

Of course the trees are the theme! A running joke (that isn't really a joke) is that Cedar Fair loves to cut down trees. With them running Bonfante Gardens, I think there is a slight reason to be concerned.
Current Cedar Fair parks also hate theming.

They hate trees. They hate theming. If the theming is the trees...

Does cement count as a theme?

It's a management contract with CF - I think the family *controls* Bonfante. I'd be VERY surprised to see "CF-style TPM" come to this park...

PGA, on the other hand, already had it... ;)

Dare I ask what TPM stands for, Bill?

I'd like to see the papers authorizing that knowledge transfer. We at the NSA were not aware of it. Please report to Guantanamo for questioning immediately.

Unless the park is Worlds of Fun, right?

Actually, Geauga Lake seems to have a few trees left, although I hear they're trying to figure a way to drain the lake and fill that with concrete. Or gray gravel.
