Damn!!! It gets even more bizarre. I was sifting through some old magazines and guess what is buried in the middle of the pile? A 1996 CP Getaway Guide!!!
If I remember correctly back then, I had just starting hearing about this park and called the Ohio Tourism line or something and requested one.
This guides front cover has an overview of the Magnum in the backround, Gemini on the right, and a great shot of the Mean Streak up close. Check out how prices have really changed just since back then.
1. One day admission was $28.95, 2-day admission was $45.95
2. Combo(Both CP and Soak City) was $35.95
3. Season Pass was $85.95 (I am sorry but that was pretty expensive for 1996).
4. Starlight admission was $18.95
5. Combo pass was $135.95
Also for the calendar schedule the park didnt have opening day until May 11th and final operating day was Oct. 6.
The park had 12 coasters back then.
