Wanted! Forum

Just an idea, springing from the on-going search for CP patches in the "General" forum -- how about a "wanted" forum? This would be a place where members could post for merchandise they are looking for, possibly to buy or sell, maybe in different colors. It could be set up so that "ads" are placed and cannot be replied to, but someone that has matching items could get their member info and email them -- that would eliminate too much noise but still let the whole community work together for exchanging things. Just an idea!

I have a problem with people buying/selling on a free forum in the first place. It seems like they're taking advantage of the forum set up for discussions.

Maybe it's just me, but IMO, that's what eBay's for.

Actually I've looked into this and it could open up a whole realm of liability for me. Needless to say, I don't want to go there!

Ah, that's true, I hadn't thought about the liability and "that's not what I paid for!" kind of stuff. Is it still all right, though, if we really are looking for a certain type of merchandise, to post a request/searching for in the general forum?

I would think that something like that could be set up with amazingly tight disclaimers so any potential liability would be extremely slight/negligible, if it existed at all.

Let's face it, this stuff is really hard to find on eBay, and e-MusementParkStore has almost nothing in stock.

Pleeeeze, Mr. Jeffy, sir, think about it some more?
