There are several awesome queues. First of all, Viper at Great America has an awesome effect with Raging Bull soaring out of the tunnel and into the turn around right above your head. Second, Batman: The Ride in the same park. You are right next to the coaster doing the second loop. However, Islands of adventure has done the best with theming their queue lines. Cat in the hat was very whimsical, Poseidon's fury was mystical, Bilge Rat Barges were comical, and Hulk was incredible. All in all, they suck you into the storyline right from the beginning of it all. And that's a whole lot of all.
My favorite queue is at Santa Cruz Beach Boadwalk at the Giant Dipper. Hearing the sound of the platform dropping as the cars are swallowed up by the opening tunnel adds to the anticipation, not to mention the screaming. GD also has awesome old fashion lights that light up the entire station. This is just a great ride!
I say Batman The Ride at SFGaM you wait and it's an awesome line then you get on the ride and it's not that great.
Another would be BKF I like it and I like the ride after the wait.
The third one I like it S:UE nice superman theme going on and the ride is also great.
Nemesis at Alton Towers is a good contender, the queue line gives you some great views of the coaster and it really builds up the excitement. I love it at one point in the queue where you can stand right next to the loop(with just a fence to protect you) Its great when a train goes by.
Also surely the DD queue line should get a mention, I love that queue line, I like to think its more of an attraction than an actual queue line, the themeing that went into it was amazing and I was lost for words walking through it.
I also find it funny when people get lost in the queue line(Its True, I have seen it happen, anyone else got a story like this)
I was happly going through the queue line when suddenly, about a group of 10 people went the opposite way, I was puzzled, so asked one person where they were all going, she said that way was a dead end and they couldnt get through, I then explained this was the way through and showed her the way through, It was hilarous, LOL
Mayan Mind Bender at Six Flags Astroworld has great line theming with the remains of the doomed expedition's camps, vehicles, skeletons, etc. It really gives you something to look at while you wait. Too bad the coaster isn't much.
Chitown- did you forget the other great queue at SFGAm? Batman! If it is open at the early entrance, it is great. (early entrance is near the BatMobile, late, for long lines, is by a consession stand, if you don't know.) Then you go strait to the "park," where the walls have some nice Easter eggs :-) Check it out. That is followed by the ghetto. And there... the view of the vertical loop and a few other parts of the ride is awesome, the train comming from no where. Although the rusted police car is getting sad. But it turns into one of the worst queues in the park when you enter the sewer part. Smells bad and is too dark. Well, have to take the good with the bad.
Space mountains! The 1960's version of the future is always cool!
at pki, while waiting in the 6 hour line for son of beast, you get some very closeups of top gun iin action, including a broad helix thats only 6 foot or so from one park of the line.

Yes, Top Gun does come pretty close to Son of Beast`s line. In most of PKi`s lines you can watch q-tv, which helps pass the time along but if you go to PKi a lot or are there all day it can get a little annoying. Oddly, Son of Beast doesn`t have any tv`s playing q-tv.
i know, when i was there they had 1 train going! just 1! and it was like 100 degrees, and at every corner or turn in a the line they were selling lemonade for 6 bucks! there is no shade in the line either, except for that little tunnel, they made a fortune!
