The line for Viper adds some excitement with some Raging Bull action at SFGAm. You get a closeup of the tunnel for the first drop and overhead views of RB in the first banked turn with some wicked noise within the supports. This makes for free entertainment and great photo shots. Do other parks have this when waiting in line?

I know I should shut up about this coaster, but the first coaster that comes to mind for this topic is SFNE's Superman. The queue is built right below the ride's awesome helix section, and I certainly got some good action shots while waiting in line.
Millienneium Force Definitely pumps me up for the rides.
It may not be super-duper exciting, but I like the line for Top Gun, at PKI. Depending on where you are in line, the trains fly up over your head, and you can see a great deal of the track while waiting.
I agree with you Chitown, about Viper. But when I went, the lines were pretty small and we went way farther up then were Raging Bull's hammer-head was. But we did walk under it, and it was really cool seeing the train fly out of the tunnel and up into the turn-around! And yes, those supports make some strange sounds, hehe.
Hoosier Hurricane isn't that exciting, but the queue line is built right next to the long strip (right before the drop off from the station) that leads up to chain lift. You can just stand there as the train flies by and watch them go up the lift then disappear :)

If you're not counting themeing and just looking at coaster views, I'm voting for Mantis! The queue goes under different elements and since the coaster is on the lagoon you can get magnificent views of nearly the entire course. Granted, the noise makes is a little hard to have a conversation...
On the other hand, I don't think Raptor's queue all that exciting, even though the helix is right next to the entrance walk. The fence really cuts off the view, and that's all you see - unless you want to count the lift hill, very exciting.

i'll have to agree with you on the mantis. and sometime when you get lucky and actually have to wait in line on the mean streak it has some pretty good views too with the queue being in the middle of the coaster. that only happens when there are like a million people at the park though.

Big Dipper is probably the worst. There is walls that prevent you from seeing a lot. I like Batman, Mantis, Millie, and Magnum. I like Magnum because you cant really see the ride and its basically walled in by plants.

I would have to say i really enjoyed the coaster at the new york new york hotel & casino it has some nice theaming. but the rocking roller coaster at disney mgm has awsome ride querys and when you get into the area where they launch the cars it is soo cool
The first time I waited in line for Millennium FOrce I was bursting with excitment. Watching the train take the first banked turn almost seemed like a computer animation it looked so fake.

I have a few faves. First, Riddler's Revenge at SFMM. The line is so loud with the coaster built over the queue especially at the corkscrew section screaming overhead. Next, is Freefall Satellite Tower at MM. The roar of Riddler near by and the screams of people dropping off a 100 foot tower gets you excited, even tho the line moves so slow! Finally, my all time favorite is Space Mountain at Disneyland. The viewing room where you can see the rockets passing by you is the best!
What about Cedar Point's Corkscrew, with the corkscrews right over the Midway?

The queue/waiting line for the Corkscrew, however, is not right under the Corkscrew's corkscrew, so that really cannot be counted on this topic since it's waiting for that particular ride with the excitement or elements of that ride (or another) that goes basically directly over or next to the waiting line!
Millennium Force, Mantis, Mean Streak, and Raptor (in the beginning area around the helix) all provide some nice views from the queue. Wildcat, at Hersheypark, is pretty good with this as well. Watching the trains fly down the first drop just never seems to get old!
I like BKF's queue as you are completed surrounded by the coaster. In fact the ride's entrance goes right through the middle of the cobra roll.
MF's is cool too, with the final overbanked turn nearby.
Does anyone remember way back around the time Magnum first opened that people used to play queue volleyball with inflatable beach balls? I have even seen them play with stuffed animals. This was before the park installed the DJ's. I'm sure the park hated it, but it helped keep the wait from being boring.

I Think The Best Line i Ever waited in Had to be eather for Batman the ride since you walk trou gothim city park then medusa at sfga since you wait almost under the 3rd inversion (the barrel roll) and also along side the coasters track and you get a good view of the drop,1,2 and 3 inversions. alos at sfga skull mountain wich is preety chezey has a good line and also disater tranport at cedar point wasent that bad becuase you antisapait every turn and if you dont know the ride its preety cool to not know where the ride will start. (for me disater tran had a good line becuase i dont go to disney parks etc its just not of my parents to take me i gusse.so even the cheapest themeing to me is preety cool) oh wait and the line for mf is preety good to becuase you get a good veiw of the coasters last turn.
I love the line for MF. Magnum always seems to be fun, especialy with a DJ and a few beach balls. Mantis is realy cool with the ride around you like that. Mean Streak is kind of cool. Disaster Transport when they had all the themeing aspects working (I miss the robot...what was his name again?). SOB was kind of boring, Top Gun was alight.

Dueling Dragons, because you get to watch the coasters duel(if the line is so long that you actually have to wait outside, which is never the case), and also for the castle, which could be considered a haunted house on its own. Medusa East's queue is also very good, walking right under the cobra roll and moving alongside the barrel roll.

All the rides @ IOA have EXCELLENT ride que theming. I didn't get too bored in any line, (walked on) because the theming was so great.

Actually, the Giant Dipper at SCBB is VERY cool. You may not be able to see the coaster, but:
1) The building is cool.
2) You hear the screams of the folks dropping into the tunnel and bouncing back into the station (not to mention the horn---love that horn!)
and
3) When the coaster makes that turn over the station house, the whole place rumbles and moves like an earthquake. You get a real sense of power from that.
