New scenery looks nice, but lack of new flats again! :( There does seem to be one on the first screen, then again, that just looks like a themed Enterprise... what do you think? Also
The tram ride (4th screen) looks different to me
Different Corkscrew coaster cars and car ride cars (5th screen)

Actually a lot of the scenery seems over the top to me... more like SimCity 4000 then RCT2... Oh well, we'll see what more screens show us soon... Anyway, your comments/views...

Wow, some of the new theming looks incredible! Theming seems to be the main focus of the addon (as usual). I'm still standing by my guess that the "50 new rides" are existing rides with different looks - especially after seeing these screenshots.

What's with the coaster train in this screenshot:

I was just about to mention that coaster train, looks kinda weird but cool in the same way. I also love the new urban buildings. Im pretty sure that it is a Chaos ride, if you look closly you can see the seats!

It's still me, here from the beginning back in 1999. Add 1500+ posts to the number I have in the info section if you care about such things.

I like the looks of the bigger trees. The ones in the game now just look dinky.

I agree, I think the scenery seems WAY over the top. How many parks are seriously going to build a skyscraper or The Great Wall of China for some scenery? Seems like a waste of Chris Sawyer's time to me. I'm going to reconsider running out to get this one!

Warning: I do not think like the average person. My remarks have plenty of thought behind them. Take it for what it's worth, if you disagree, please, feel free to express it, but don't put me down because of it.

Seems like the game is taking the Simcoaster route, focusing more on fantasy objects. I would prefer more ride types and an improvement in the paths. But regardless of whatever Chris comes up with I am still going to buy it.

That would be the single greatest thing for my design needs. The only thing I can really criticize the game for is enforced symmetry.

Is it just me or does the scenery in every pic look giant size. The trees, and western dudes are huge! And General Public, where do you see the diagonal paths in that pic?

Cedar Point RCT2 recreation-coming soon

The "diagonal paths are an optical illusion, GP. Chaos as a ride, Yay! But more flats are needed. The coaster in that screenshot is probably a modified arrow, but idk.

Wait, is this RollerCoaster Tycoon we're dealing with now, or Scenery Tycoon?

A few more things I've noticed-

1.)Maybe it's just me, but in the 3rd picture the merry go round looks different. I'm not sure what, but it looks a little taller, almost like theres paintings on it like in real life. 2.) In picture 5, it looks the there are new cars for the car ride. Snowmobiles maybe? I've got no idea. 3.) Animal theming, I don't think anyone has mentioned this yet, check picture #7.

Other than that, it mainly looks like Sawyer enjoys the Oriental Theming. "Pagoda Theming" to be politically correct. ;)

To me the merry go round does look some what different. Looks like new cars for different rides hope that is not the 50 new rides that are coming. I like Pagoda Theming I am not sure of any park that uses it other than Epcot and not many more that I can think right now. So right now it looks like Chaos is the only new flat ride in that game.

Oh yeah. On closer inspection, it's just a down sloped elevated path. Drats... foiled again.

Damn... RCT is losing its realistic touch. I like the helicopter/sinking boat scenery. But I was definately predicting drag racing and harbor theming. I'm definately digging the new walls and roofs though.

I think part of the reason it's looking like SimCity4000 is because the parks in the screenshots were packed and cluttered with the new scenery. I can just imagine building an amazing park with some of that scenery - like a New York themed park.

It would be nice to have more realistic scenery though. Oh well, I guess we'll see when it comes out :)
