Wacky Worlds - 50 new ride types!

Hmmm. Something that struck me when reading that.

The obvious theme of this add-on is different "worlds" - with the theming inclusions of famous landmarks from across the globe. Could the 50 "new" rides just be themed variations of the existing rides? Now instead of a "carousel" you can choose the "Russian Carousel" or the "Italian Carousel" or the "Chinese Carousel" each with a different look and graphics - see where I'm going with this? Another example would be the Snow Cups ride that was added to RCT 2. Think of that as a teacup ride with "arctic" theme. Maybe the "Chinese Cups" would have a pagoda in the middle with a more elegant cup design to ride in or the "Parisian Cups" would have an Eiffel Tower centerpiece.

What a Scary Reality. I was thinking that too.

I don't know if I like this idea of landmark theming. I mean, there aren't any parks that are actually built around landmarks.

EPCOT is. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Worlds of Fun is as well. Not the most inspiring parks, but still. :)

LG, I was thinking that too. What Chris Sawyer should do is put the ride themeing like the hedge maze is set for its walls. This way you can build the ride, ex snow cups, then change the themeing.

You guys are a bunch of pessimists! I know you all are trying to be realistic, but I can really see about 25 new flat rides. I mean, there are hundreds of types of flat rides out there. I can see about 15 new coaster types, and 10 other rides fitting into the transportation/water rides category.

On the other hand, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of that stuff wasn't true. If you carefully read through the whole description, you'll notice tons of spelling/grammar errors (i.e "Antartica" instead of Antarctica) If this were the real description, you'd think they would get it right.

Another thing - when they say "21 new scenarios based on real-world locations", does anyone think that they mean 21 new recreated parks or scenarios based on terrain/climate of real locations?

We're not being pessimists, we're trying to be realistic. Remember the letdown a bunch of people had when RCT2 came out? I think many people are trying to avoid that. Also, what 15 new coaster types are you thinking of? I can't think of 5...

There's nothing pessimistic about it. Like Ryan said, it's being realistic. The same people listing all the ride types they think will be in the game will be the same ones *****ing when they're not there.

I personally, kind of like the idea I proposed above - and it seems other had the same thoughts. I'd love the ability to theme a ride beyond the colors. It almost seems like something that should have been implimented from the start (alternate graphics for the same ride).

Here's another example of how RCT already does this - the choice of gates in the scenario editor. They all work as an entry to the park, it's just a matter of preference. I'd like the option of either a "Sea Dragon" style pirate ship in addition to the regular one. Multiple graphics for the same ride would make a park look nicer when you have to double up on rides to fill space too.

the warriors is the best movie and there home turf is coney and i own the movie my fave part is at the end when the dude has the bottles and calls warriors over and over
OR... worst of all, the 50 new rides are just 50 roller coaster tracks designed by Chris Sawyer and his team. With CoasterBuzz Games, the last thing we need are more tracks to try out.

So what if there are a few grammer errors in the overall description, just look on ebgames.com & you'll find the info.

Why would ebgames.com or even amazon.com list false details on a game, especially a popular one & they're already taking pre release daye orders for it.

Once we get some screenshots we'll know a bit more on what we can expect from the expansion but for now all we can do is speculate just what new rides & features will be included when the game is ready.

Does anyone know when we will get to see a screen shot of Wacky Worlds?
im guessing when it comes out or a month or week before its out

I'm thinking we'll be seeing screens within the next couple of weeks, when RCT2 was announced the screens were posted at most a month or so later but I'd like some ASAP,man I can't wait to see what's new.
neither can i but if the screenshots come and they suck im complaing to my old friend Mr. Chris Sawer

that would be cool if we could have parking lots a downtown distrit like at disneyland and hotels and buses going through the park and shuttles going throgh the parking lot and stuff like that

fatkat, please start using sentences and correct grammer.

I lost my hat on Poison Ivy. How pathetic.

How about sky coasters, sling shots, and bungee jumping as extra cash rides.
I personally feel that this will be a great expantion pack. As i see above, some of you guyz complain about how different train types where split up into different coasters all together and mis-advertised. I feel that it was a good way of seperating the coasters... because a floorless and a standup coaster are totally different. And as you can see, they still grouped some partial differences together (ie. wooden coaster trains). also 250 more ellements, i think Sawyer has put alot of effort into this
