This was just posted as the Whopper of the week at Thrillride. Where in the hell did they get that info from?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Now this may sound crazy, but I have found what Cedar Point is doing. They have not decided if it will be built for 2002, or 2003, but this is a HUGE story.
They have not figured out the top speed, but this stellar coaster will shatter all records. The first drop will be SIX HUNDRED FIFTY FEET LONG!!! I know this sounds crazy, but Arrow (the people designing this coaster) that at this height the stress on the track, supports, cars and riders, are relatively the same as long as certain design characteristics are made.
So they don't have the space you say? Well just like Millennium Force, it uses an elevator lift system. Also, when you take off out of the station you go up a VERY short section of lift, and then start to grow STRAIGHT UP, it climbs very quickly! Then it curves down, and all hell breaks loose. This coaster will break records for speed, inversions, most drops on a coaster, longest course (it winds arround a LOT of rides, and goes almost out onto the lake itself) and will just be totally awesome. It will feature a new type of loop, a reverse-inversion. They seem to be going for the name Gold or Silver Streak, but haven't decided on it yet. This will hopefully keep the record for tallest and fastest at the Point for a good long time. They shocked us all with Millennium Force, and they are gearing up to do it again.
However, they haven't decided yet what to do, they dont know if they want to do it this year or next, but they have crews on call if they need to start clearing land this year.

Jeff whats your take on that? I am sure alot of you have seen that.
