Boy that was a quick 2 hour drive to Japan this year! And to think I did it numerous times!
CoasterGod.....I am actually speechless with the photo of your model. I invite you to check out my site as well. Not a lot of photos, but I have done numerous rides. As for coasters, I am building in 1:24 scale as well, creating everything from a shuttle, to a multi-inversion, to a suspended. And yes, they are all Arrow-inspired (if you couldn't tell by my name). It is quite a challenge. Let me know when you get yours going again. Keep up the great work!

Anyone wanna add more wacky rumors? :)
I'd say the quad racing Shuttle Loopers for CP qualifies.

I had someone give me this wild rumor about a new Wooden roller coaster that would be taller than 200 ft and go over 70 mph and go upside down. I laughed at her and told her wooden coasters don't go upside down and you can't build a wooden coaster that high. a year later PKI anounced "Son of Beast".
That SWO or Busch would buy GLP. Who could forget that ST being sent to Wyandot and SFMM sending their used invert to SFO to buld a hyper invert. And the timeless, "Magnum was built on sand and is sinking, just like the leaning tower of Pisa". The arrow fishook, no one believed me 2 years ago when i thought up a 4-D (i'm the coaster version of Nastradamues [sp]). Drachen Fire is opening is silly. any others?

HurricaneGeauga- Just in case
I remember the rumor of the SFGAm floorless for the 2001 season. But we were blessed with 2 coasters over 175 feet.

Let the bears pay the Bear Tax, I pay the Homer Tax.
People, Magnum is sinking! As I said once before, everything is sinking! It's called settling... But it's not sinking like people want(ed) you to think, but for an old rumor.
I heard from a friend a couple years ago that the American Eagle was going to be torn down... because it was too old! It was only 17 at the time! OLD!?!

Next up: Stupid human tricks! Followed by: Stupid pet tricks!
Why can that never happen?
How about the 2 for 2002 at PKI? Unless it becomes a reality. (hoping and praying:))

"I remember earlier this year that someone said that a company was going to build a roller coaster on the side of the Stratosphere Tower in Vegas. He said, "It would be 800 feet high and 10,000 feet long! Now that is a ThrillRide "Whopper of the Week!"
-------------
"There's another monster on the drawing boards!""
There were many versions of this rumor due to lack of knollage from the tower employees buat a 700 ft ride is in the works, it HAS been conformed. :)
What about the 10 inversion floorless going behind the Mean Streak at CP? Right over Lighthouse Point?
Premier Parks/Geauga Lake would turn into Six Flags.

I always like the one where they said that sixflags was going to buy out cedar point. Or cp is going to have it's biggest expansion yet; 5 coasters, 20 flatrides, and a log fume that would go upside down with a 80 foot drop.
When's the Arrow Pipeline opening? (Ha, Ha!)
What about the 10 inversion floorless going behind the Mean Streak at CP? Right over Lighthouse Point?
No, you've got it all wrong, they are changing Mantis to a floorless ;)

This was just posted as the Whopper of the week at Thrillride. Where in the hell did they get that info from?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Now this may sound crazy, but I have found what Cedar Point is doing. They have not decided if it will be built for 2002, or 2003, but this is a HUGE story.
They have not figured out the top speed, but this stellar coaster will shatter all records. The first drop will be SIX HUNDRED FIFTY FEET LONG!!! I know this sounds crazy, but Arrow (the people designing this coaster) that at this height the stress on the track, supports, cars and riders, are relatively the same as long as certain design characteristics are made.
So they don't have the space you say? Well just like Millennium Force, it uses an elevator lift system. Also, when you take off out of the station you go up a VERY short section of lift, and then start to grow STRAIGHT UP, it climbs very quickly! Then it curves down, and all hell breaks loose. This coaster will break records for speed, inversions, most drops on a coaster, longest course (it winds arround a LOT of rides, and goes almost out onto the lake itself) and will just be totally awesome. It will feature a new type of loop, a reverse-inversion. They seem to be going for the name Gold or Silver Streak, but haven't decided on it yet. This will hopefully keep the record for tallest and fastest at the Point for a good long time. They shocked us all with Millennium Force, and they are gearing up to do it again.
However, they haven't decided yet what to do, they dont know if they want to do it this year or next, but they have crews on call if they need to start clearing land this year.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jeff whats your take on that? I am sure alot of you have seen that.

How about the constant rumors that "maybe next year" AstroWorld will get get a MAJOR new thrill ride? We've been hearing that one ever since Six Flags bought the place more than a decade ago!
