From the looks of the posts, it seems its generally accepted that the stand-up to floorless conversion for Rougarou will be a major improvement, but what if it ends up being a disappointment? i don't see it being liked less than Mantis was in recent years, but this is CP's major addition for 2015, so it seems that Cedar Fair has faith it will be a hit.

I think if you liked batman night flight-dominator from geauga lake' kings dominion you'll like

The Rougarou transformation seems to fall in the "Improve Guest Experience" bucket more than the "Bring More Peeps Through the Gate" bucket, so I don't even know how you define whether or not it's a hit, unless you're talking about the average line length dramatically increasing.

It's definitely about "improving the guest experience", but the underlying goal is still "bring more peeps through the gate". They wouldn't be doing it if they didn't think it will help their bottom line.

I think Rougarou was only announced because its been a while since Cedar Point had an announcement with cool catchy music.

If Rougarou has a longer line than Mantis did, it could be translated into a HUGE success given the difference in load times and that Rougarou will run 3 trains... Now if you want to compare turnstile clicks, that's more of an apples to apples comparison. Rougarou will considerably add capacity to the park.

But then again, what do I know?

"Rougarou'd." Love it!

Our 12 year old son still refers to wooden coasters as getting "Texas Gianted."
