VIPER GOING TO OPEN! - CoasterBuzz

I emailed SFGADV asking if viper was going to open for 2002 and what changes were being made. This is what I got back.

Yes, and sorry but no announcements have been made yet for 2002. Please stay tuned for an announcement during the first few weeks of February.

If I am interpreting this right , I am going to be there openning day to ride this, considering I havenever had a chance to ride it before. When it was open I went 5 years ago but was too short

Yeah...we've known this for a while. As much as we don't want this to happen, it will.

Oh, and SFGAdv was at my HS today scouting for jobs. They had everything that is coming next year...this is it:

That's all there is. Lethal Weapon is being replaced by a waterski show, and DIVE! is being replaced by a Dolphin and Sea Lion show. Of course, there's the laps on Chiller we all know about and some TLC on RT.

A bad mistake you made is speaking for people other than yourself. Please don't speak for me, *I* personally can't wait to ride Viper again, I think the drop and the heartlines are very fun, and I don't get hurt on it at all.

Have you ever considered that maybe it's not you that's the problem, but THE PARK? ;)

Is it going to open with any modifications? Because, if not, why was it closed all of last season?

And on a side note, are all of the exclamation points and ALL CAPS really necessary?

Ok, I e-mailed them too and already got a response. I got a little more specific with my questions. I wish they had given me more info. but this will do for now.

"No, no announcements today.

Perhaps in the next few weeks. Stay tuned. Yes, Viper will run this year. Chiller (both sides) will also be running with lap bars."

Ok, stop emailing the park. They have better things to do then answer a bunch of questions about announcements, and such. Just leave them alone and let them announce what little they have to announce when they want to.

You know, you could just look it up yourself. Or you could just not email them, because they have other things to do besides fend off questions from enthusiasts.

They must not be too busy, because my response came back immediately after I sent the email. Maybe you should try and e-mail them and ask about your question earlier about opening Viper with modifications, but of course they may be too busy to answer stupid questions.

I know I started it, but lets not go on an emailing frenzy.

Sorry Gilligan, but there have been a lot of posts about this sort of thing in the past. Its just that the park is going to tell us all of this stuff when the announcements are made, so why don't we just let them be? I cringe when I think of parks getting email after email about some of this stuff. They have better stuff to do.

Umm ravenguy, why would they put out an email address if they did NOT want potential guests to ask them questions? Dont you realize that someone's job description actually *includes* "fend of questions from enthusiasts". What, do you think that GARY STORY is answering all the emails? I'm sure *he* has something else to do. But LEROY GREEN who only makes 20K a year doesn't have much else *to* do...unless someone wants a latte'....

It's kinda like those question/comment hotlines on candy bars...
