Vertical construction on the new Superman themed flying coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure has finally begun. Supports for the loading station were the first things to rise. Most of the track has arrived and is on site ready to be installed. A complete update has been added to Great Adventure Source.

Optical illusion... it is two pieces of track lying spine to spine. The camera angle makes it look like a spine with 3 rails.
Shaggy
actually Shaggy, i dont think thats right...i think its actually a track piece with TWO sides; if this is going to be anything like the SFOG flyer, then the track leading into the loading station has the ability to flip over to direct the trains to one of the two loading stations. i remember seeing the SFOG flyer do that, running 3 trains between the two stations. between each train arrival, this transfer track would spin 180 degrees, thus changing the entry direction. im pretty sure that the track in that picture is for that purpose....
although, im not totally sure if this new flyer is going to have the dual station....can anyone confirm that?

If you ask me, you can ignore the fact that Evolution almost never runs, because it's an awful ride even when it works. I had the unfortunate privelage of riding this POS, and I have to say that it was the most uncomfortable feeling of my life. I don't mean that it was necessarialy rough, I like rough, intense rides. I like Rolling Thunder; I like Top Spin; I like Chaos, etc. However, Evolution was just plain awful. It was intense, just uncomfortable. I had this gross, queasy feeling and I just wanted it to end. I've vowed never to return to such a ride again and I'm going to be so happy to this waste of metal go. Hopefully they'll melt it down into something more useful. Perhaps I giant steel cube; that would be far more beneficial to society and a lot more fun.
