Vekoma

Okay, so Vekoma hurts a bit...more like a lot on some rides, deal with it! No one says that you must go on a ride built by Vekoma. Heck, I even enjoy Invertigo's backseat. What I'm saying is if you don't like them, fine. Plus, the GP DOES like Vekoma rides. Why else would you think Flying Dutchman lines are so long??

Let me ask you one think Nick, and let's be honest here, okay? I can very much tell when someone is lying to me, so let me ask you this. Have you ridden any one of the six Batman:The Ride inverted coasters? Or The Great White for that matter? Although it may not compare to Alpengeist or Montu, I have heard many people repeatedly state that it delivers more than Raptor's tamer course. You say it is extremely fast. Isn't that a good aspect for most roller coasters? The reason why Batman is hailed as so is because of the raw un-stoppable speed and intesity in the course that it runs through. I feel that your comment about the B&M Batman coasters was an escape from someone nudging you into an uncomfortable corner. People like you who bash manufacturers who provide the world with adrenaline inducing machines need to have your eyes surgically knifed open. Without Vekoma, you could be missing out on a future of brighter innovations and possibly a whole new dimension of roller coaster riding.

When I have my own park, all the rides will be custom, but one from every company.  I like custom rides too, but in my fantasy world money is no object - Buwahahahaha!  Vekoma WILL be around in some form or another for quite some time, and the coastering community is richer for the diversity of manufacturers.  The parks would rather (or have to, depending on the park) save some money and buy "off the shelf".  Can't blame them for making that decision if the GP is always more excited about the newest ride at their home park instead of the best ride.

I`ve been to Paramount`s Kings Island 22 times this year (28 last year) and always, Face Off has a long line.  The shortest I`ve seen it on a normal operating day was about half an hour (It was walk on once for an ERT session last year for season pass holders).  Many times I`ve seen its entire queue full, almost a two hour wait.  I like Face Off, and think its a fun ride, an experience that can`t be found anywhere else in Ohio (facing people while ridind)  Also, the new Vekoma Runaway Reptar is a perfect kiddie coaster and also a delight for older enthusiasts.  I, personally, like Vekoma`s roller coasters at Paramount`s Kings Island.

It isn't that it is fast as much as the fact that that makes it a short ride.

It's the right speed, but a inverted coaster needs to be longer. With the exception of the two new coasters Batman is one of the shortest (in the way of time) rides.

If anything Batman needs a new station. Something that allows the loading/unloading to go faster, since thats the big problem with that ride (the line legenth and the time it takes to load up the train).

onekong, ride Deja Vu before you insult Vekoma like that.  Better yet ride on of their great kiddie coasters before you insult Vekoma. 

By your logic Vekoma sucks because it clones rides and its old rides are rough.  I guess Intamin sucks because it is responsible for flashback and clones S:ROS and Vertical Velocity?  I guess B&M sucks because their older rides are rough and they clone B:TR?

How can you call yourself an enthusiast when you want to see the destruction of a coaster company that has allowed parks like Knotts Berry Farm, Lake Compounce (sp?), and others to grow with the cost efficient steel coasters to attract guests? 

Yah, Those Kiddie Coasters, I can't stop riding them, ha hah, you ride kiddie coasters, thats nice, hah haha. DEJA VU STINKS! its weird and strange and clonerific!!!!!! yah, I hope knotts berry farm dies and lake compounce should pay me! vekoma needs to eat some more trash and you need to get a life! onekong, I'm sorry, but you're really pathetic. All you have done post seven times complaining about Vekoma and telling people to get a life. Like I said, if you don't seem to like thier rollercoasters, that's great, but the GP sure seems to love them.  As for Deja Vu being "clonerific", is that a good or bad thing? Would V2, B:TR, etc. also be "clonerific" also? I'm sure your opinion is appreciated, but your random babbling in your last post just doesn't make sense.

NO B:TR and V2 are not clonerific, only Vekoma clones! And I told you, THE GENERAL PUBLIC DOES NOT LIKE VEKOMA! thats the truth, ask some people instead of just saying the general public likes them! SHUT UP onekong! Stop speaking for the ENTIRE GP. Stop stereotyping all of Vekoma. Yes, I'm sure some of thier rides suck. There are also winners in there too. Do us all a favor, and keep your opinions to yourself, your not helping us at all.

I enjoy Vekoma's as much as any other coaster,so yeah I care.
