This new coaster looks incredible and a great addition to Valleyfair. My question is, why only one twist and not two?
Please forgive if this has already been presented. I did a search through Coasterbuzz first, promise.

I have a sense of humor, but my squinty Chinese eyes prevent me from reading stupid posts.
And your point is totally absurd. It's true that CF is obviuosly putting the bigger better rides in at CP, but they debuted Magnum there and then (in my opinion) topped it with Steel Force, Mamba, and (I haven't ridden this one) Wild Thing. And in the wood department, I'd say that CP is definitely not the best in the CF chain.

You have to excuse those sad little uffda-chanting, hot-dish chomping, polka-stomping, cousin-bonking, last name ending -son or -sen, inbred Scandanavians. They are without clue and their sense of humor is as bland as what passes for a home-cooked meal. Among the few things that strike them as funny is racial humor--and seeing that eugenics was common in certain Scandanavian cultures as recently as the 1970s...anyway, I digress.
Garbage posts like 'Bipolarski's' (in itself a sad little play on words) is why I almost think I should add a disclaimer before Captain Obvious posts anything. Warning: I know the fine line and you don't, you are so not funny and fellow posters knew me for the substance in my posts before they knew the ha-ha funny part.
Anyway, there's no reason VF couldn't have had a double-twister...they cost about the same, any structural changes needed woudl have already been learned from WT and there are no height restrictions that would have stopped them. But anyone who's been on WT and a standard-issue impulse would realize WT is much more intense. It wouldn't have been a good fit for a park without an invert or a looping coaster other than an aging Corkscrew.
They took it down a notch for their particular clientele. In practical terms, I have to admit it was a good call.

Maggie and the Morgan's aren't even close to being comparable.
The Morgan's are tame. Maggie is insane!

My question is, why do people take the bait from these trolls?
There are many, many people who find the holding brake to be a superior experience to the double twist, even among 'Buzzers. I'm not one of them, but that doesn't mean that their opinion is not valid.
Also, perhaps CF was somewhat frightened by the structural issues experienced with WT this year.

Skipping past the ethnic slurs (man, perhaps *someone* needs to read the Suggestions page...skip straight to the one about a kindler, gentler buzz).... We arrive at the QUESTION: Why a single twisting impulse?
Well, I'll hazard a *guess* that CP's probelms with WT...which don't seem to have occurred with the other impulses...led them to conclude that for uptime and reliability, they were "safer" with the *standard model*. Besides, as has been noted MANY times, *we* are the only ones who know and/or care that there even IS a "bigger, badder version"...somewhere ELSE. VF's customer base, which *may* overlap some with CP....just is not concerned that their NEW coaster isn't the "-est" in the world, they're happy to have another toy to play with....and it's a GOOD one!
edit: darn, three posts WHILE I was typing....note to self: take typing class.....and 'Playa with the "clientele" argument and MWB with the reliabilty, both are VERY valid.....and 'Playa even beat me to the *demographics* argument....argh, why do I even bother...;)

Answer #1: I suppose you'd have to live in the region for a while to recognize the particular mindset I'm addressing. Some people are culturally isolated, a little dim and were actually taught that was funny, either directly through family or informally through the media (and what passes for entertainment).
Answer #2: I actually like WT in the front more than I do in the rear. IMHO it's not the twisting rear spike but the 450-degree twists instead of the standard 360s that make it more intense. I guess the thought that a Wicked Twister clone would be too intense also comes from listening in on VF folk as they walk off various rides that might not frighten an enthusiast, but sure scared our GP speechless. It's not exactly the CP crowd.

Funny...I prefer it in the rear.
