V2 Rumors @ SFGA

it is becuase the magnetic brakes are freezing in the cold temperatures and the cars are having a very hard time stopping.

1)Raging Bull 2)V2 3)Alpengeist

it has nothing to do with the brakes freezing either...it hasn't been run in 3 weeks...well before it was cold...Who else wants to try and guess?
This is some funny stuff. I like how each person has their own silly explanation. Where are you guys getting these "reasons" from?
well i was at the park saturday and deja vu was closed becuase of the weather it was like 40 out it was freezing and windy. i just heard about the brakes on v2.

DV and the weather is the same as any other coaster...they run slower in cold temps due to the thick grease that is used.  DV is different in the fact is needs to be going a certain speed so it will go up high enough on the towers to catch the catch wagon....if you watched the ride test you could figure that out.  There is no other reason weather-related for that.  And to make up the brake thing on v2 is crazy.
I was there 3 weeks ago when the ride shut down and no explination was given then
I also heard 2 different rumors about v2
1. The towers sway too much
2. The computer went down and the access codes to get it back up were lost.
I heard about the rumor that the LIMs were installed too close but  was told it  was for Deja Vu

We talked to Mark the ride supervisor and he told us that there was a power surge problem with the computer.

My daughter begged me to ride the kiddie coasters(blantant lie)
DV has LIMs? Since when? lol

Losing the computer access codes...do you REALLY think they could loose something like that and not have a ride run for 3 weeks? Why do you believe this stuff...(and I thought we already put the swaying tower rumor to rest...I guess not tho)

Stoogmanmoe...kinda, but not really
My friend was at SFWoA two days ago, it was around 40degrees outside. And SUE was running fine. Its probley not the climate...

I just think that whatever the problem is that it should be fixed before the season is over. Look at CP when they had trouble with MF due to a lightening strike and had it fixed right away. Just another example of SF not caring about the people who attend the park, they wont go the extra mile to have their main rides operating properly, kind of like on Jeff's post when he said the mechanics decide how many trains will run rather then the crowd determing the ride capacity(that was about sfwoabut seems to be a SF moto)
That's what we were told SFGRAMBoy20, It came from the horse's mouth!!

Stoogemanmoe...I said that was something like what happened...but specifically that is not it...do you REALLY think he's going to tell you exactly? nope

and neither will I...hehe

um.......all these rumors about swaying towers and cold weather are rediculous, believe me, it's not them. i know the real reason, but i cannot say. all i can tell u is u guys are WAY off!
If any of you can display proof of V2 not running, then by all means, contribute it in the news section. If you cant and all you do is claim its reason for its closure and worse yet, sit here and say "No, you are wrong, but I know" and then dont reveal the real reason, then this topic isnt going to go furthur.
