V (for Extreme)

Okay, so I know that this song is *heavily* based on a piece of classical music, but I can't remember what the name of it is.

Does anyone know what the original piece was called?

I'm thinking it's called Winter, but I'm not 100% sure.
That is correct, the song is Winter from Vivaldi's Four Seasons.
Danke :)

On a related topic - the DDR song "A (For Extreme)", assuming that's also based on a classical piece of music, whats the original name of it?

There is no tree. ;)

It's still me, here from the beginning back in 1999. Add 1500+ posts to the number I have in the info section if you care about such things.
Hmm, I didn't think A was a classical song. However, before they come up:

Kakumei = Chopin's "Revolutionary Etude"
End of the Century = Beethoven's "Ode to Joy"
Speed over Beethoven = Beethoven's "Fur Elise"

A Oni, which I just discovered existed, is freaking hard.

Kick the Can -- Jacques Offenbach's "Orpheus in the Underworld"

Living in America -- "Dixie" (No idea about the composer.)

Dream A Dream -- Grieg's "In the Hall of the Mountain King"

In case you didn't know, there's also a V Oni. ;) *** Edited 11/18/2003 8:45:36 PM UTC by Kel***

yeah i still step on those stupid arrows... ...so what? >_>
I did know that, and it is also freaking hard, though not as hard as A Oni. Then again, I've only played A Oni once. Maybe if I ever get another long arcade session again in my life, I'll pass it. In the meantime, you whippersnappers are passing me by. ;)

Eh, moderately related again - what video game does the 8-bit come from in Burning Heat! ? I've heard everything from Zelda to Contra to Metroid...

Gradius II for the Famicom. It was never released in the U.S.... we got Life Force instead, which was awesome, so no complaints.

btw, that's why it's called the "Three-Option Mix." In the Gradius games you could get "options," or little ghost ships that would travel beside you and fire when you did.
