Unofficial Ad Space/Banners

As an idea, how about offering a way for people that have an unofficial site to advertise on Coasterbuzz? For example, you could offer that we could supply you with a banner (you'd set the size limits, both dimensions and space) and we'd pay to have it displayed on different pages for 3 days, 7 days, a month, whatever -- different options for different prices. You could also have the stipulation that you approve all sites and their banners before agreeing. For example:

A 120x88 banner, displayed on the "Forums" page for 72 hours would cost.... $XX. Different sizes, different pages, different lengths of display would all affect the price. I just thought it would be another way to generate revenue for you and links to other sites for all the fans that see the site! In light of the recent post about the tremendous number of visitors, it could really work out nicely. You could also restrict what sort of content -- would you accept banners from just coaster sites, or any type of site, etc.

That's not a half bad idea. I only wonder how much money unofficial site owners would be willing to pay, though.

It depends how much it cost. I would be interested if it wasn't too expensive. Also, if you could designate the time of day it appears it could be more or less expensive. Say you have a site about Cedar Point, you would want to have a slot when the Midwest has evening. Most of the people who would visit a Cedar Point would live by it.

That is a good idea. Danimation does that (but they do not charge). I would be willing to pay when my new site was completed.

Honestly, I would pay about $10 for a month or two of banner space. Put them on a rotating basis so if two people sign up for the same time, they will both get their moneys worth.
PS im a cheapskate, so if the price is low, thats why!

I don't think your price is low, PKI Freak, I'd figure about the same for a month. The key is, most of us Coasterbuzzers that have a coaster-related website aren't making $$$ off it, so it isn't like we'd get more business or profits. I'd love to advertise, though, and this is a way to really get to a target audience, and help out the site we visit daily too! ;)
