I was going to post that, but I had to park mid-Scream and only just got here.

These are only modifications to existing rides, not new ones, and yet they're raising prices!

Um... I'd say we're talking about a little bit more than a modification. lol

"Sadly" my trip to LA is scheduled for 2 weeks from now. I'll probably get to see the ride under construction but not ride it for another decade.

John, I know. It was a feeble attempt at a joke.

Sarcasm and long running in-jokes aside, it's important for non-Californians to understand that "summer" doesn't begin until mid-Late June in SoCal. While that may technically line up with the real Solstice, it's contrary to what we think of in terms of Amusement Park Calendars (Summer being Memorial Day weekend).

Spring in SoCal (as it relates to Theme Parks) goes WELL BEYOND Memorial Day. Plan accordingly

That's more of an emotional thing rather than a true impediment to outdoor activities. Hearing locals bitch about the grey skies (until 11 am when it burns off) all while it's 72 degrees and so bright out you still need sunglasses. Amuses me to know end.
