Twisted Colossus on track for spring opening at Six Flags Magic Mountain

While there is not an exact date set yet, Magic Mountain officials announced Monday that Twisted Colossus is on schedule to open in spring if inclement weather stays at bay, Spokeswoman Sue Carpenter said.

These are only modifications to existing rides, not new ones, and yet they're raising prices!

Sarcasm and long running in-jokes aside, it's important for non-Californians to understand that "summer" doesn't begin until mid-Late June in SoCal. While that may technically line up with the real Solstice, it's contrary to what we think of in terms of Amusement Park Calendars (Summer being Memorial Day weekend).

Spring in SoCal (as it relates to Theme Parks) goes WELL BEYOND Memorial Day. Plan accordingly

That's more of an emotional thing rather than a true impediment to outdoor activities. Hearing locals bitch about the grey skies (until 11 am when it burns off) all while it's 72 degrees and so bright out you still need sunglasses. Amuses me to know end.
