TTD Open Again Already?

Friday, July 16, 2004 1:13 PM
Take a look at the CP webcams. Is TTD running today?

EDIT - In the first cam, the queue looks empty. In the sceond you can clearly see the line along the midway and it looks (to me, at least) like people are in the station.

Yep...it's open. So much for being "closed forever" as so many were saying.

they are probably stacking the line outside so incase the ride breaks down, they won't have to empty out the whole line.

Yep....the trains are moving and everything.

There sure doesn't seem to be a lack of ridership form people being terrified of having a 3 foot steel shard impale their head! ;) *** Edited 7/16/2004 5:30:19 PM UTC by Peabody***

Station looks empty, and people are out on the midway waiting to get in line.

Yep, everything is back to normal!

Heh. Yup. :)

It is empty now, but was full 5 or 10 minutes ago.

So did they just slap another cable on and go or what? (Kind of an open question, I don't expect anyone to really know)

Edit - I'm still seeing trains cycled though. (oh God, I've become one of those web cam watcher people!)

I hang my head in shame.

Well, my heart tells me that they wouldn't open it back up unless they were sure everything is ok and this type of incident won't happen again.

Of course, I have had my heart broken lots of times.

I saw that earlier today as well. I didn't see the crane out on the webcams over the last few days. They would of had to change the cable, don't you think?

Maybe the way to address this problem is to change the cable regularly, say monthly for example. Granted, I am certain it isn't cheap, but considering the alternatives, it seems fairly cheap.

Just a thought....

That is too funny, I haven't heard anyone say "cool points" since I was in high school, that was such a cool thing back then.

Positive 10 cool points to me and Antuan for knowing what cool points are.

Also, Antuan, we would say "negative 5.3 cool points" but it's all good.

Now I have to relinquish the title of "the coolest little princess on Coasterbuzz".

...my day just keeps going down hill.
