TTD getting stuck on the apex of the hill ????

I just want to say that I hope it happens to all of you and it goes backwards.

A true enthusiast goes on the kiddie coasters.

You missed my point redman. They aren't called "up stop" wheels. They are called something else.
I haven't been able to make it up to the point this year yet but two questions. How often are there rollbacks with riders? If they do have a rollback do they just keep the people on and launch it again or do they have to get off and test or do anything else?
It is very rare for a rollback to happen with ridder. Monty said that there have been very few people who have happened to be on a rollback. As for what they do afterwards, it depends on what caused the rollback. If it was just wind, or a light load, they will just lauch the train again. If something happened to the ride and they need to spend more than 10 min to fix the ride, then they will let the people off the train.

If anyone wants to see a rollback on TTD, just watch the video of the news story about TTD that the CBS Early Show did. Here's the link. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/05/29/earlyshow/contributors/melindamurphy/main556072.shtml

well, JanFrederick, I'd say 10 hours between runs would change conditions....

Well Duh! Oncelet mentioned that it resets "if the trains sit long enough"

If someone here actually operates it, I'm curious, what are all the variables involved? And if it "resets" what factors are taken into account when calculating the first launch?

Booya,

They ARE called upstop wheels, trust me. And if you don't want to trust me, check out our resident expert Rideman's website. Read and learn, young grasshopper...

I doubt it would. That would be one of the freakiest, but coolest things to have happen when your on it.

I would think that it would be designed so that the apex was shortet than the train length so it couldn't happen. I guess I'm wrong though.

Check out this awesome park!http://games.coasterbuzz.com/filedetail.aspx?GameFileID=3001

Actually, the wheels are called Uplift Wheels. I know what i'm talkin about buddy. They aren't called upstop wheels. Young grasshopper eh.

Wow... you've got a lot of balls coming to a well-trafficked coaster geek site like this one and making a claim like that (especially seeing as how you're not correct).

Booya, I'd like to take this time to invite you to accept this reality check. You're wrong- unless you're British and it's one of those funky British things. ("Colour?" What's up with that?)

Otherwise, you're still wrong. So booya!

I snap flyers.

I know people that work at a park, and the park calls the wheels uplift wheels. As coaster geeks, you should have known that they may have a couple different names.

Overall, this is one of the stupidest arguments ever. Upstop, uplift, upshift, upright, upleft, updown......Who cares what the wheels are called.

Okay they're called upstops, end of discussion on that. But dude! That roll back rocked so hard! That made my Xcel rollback look like nothing! LoL!

If Dippin' Dots is the "Ice Cream of the Future", why is it in the present?

(shakes head and walks away mumling) "I bet his friends are either the Lemon Chill dude or the Dippin Dots gal..."

Ha...shows what you know. Check up on it. ask ride ops at the parks what the wheels are called, they'll know. You'll most likely hear two different things.

I don't think anybody cares anymore. Just ride the coasters and enjoy life.
