TTD Freeway pass on ebay

George, I and many other people reported the auction to eBay, specifically pointing out that these passes said "Not to be sold". It at least behooves eBay to follow up, no? They never even responded to me.

This is just as bad as trying to sell your food stamps and handicaped parking passes to support your crack habit. I mean if you aren't going to use them just give them away for free or throw them alway. People try to sell coupons too, sad isn't it, is that the sign of someone hurting badly for money or pure greed. A few years ago we had 2 extra deeply discounted SFWOA or SF Ohio what ever it was at that time, we sold them for face value, just so we didn't have to eat the cost. Another time someone had a discount coupon for WOA that was better then the coupon we had and they let us in on it. The way I see it if you can help another park goer beat the gouging prices go for it, but to try to profit off of things listed above thats pure greed, those sellers are probably the same A$%#$%$$ that line jump.
as a father of 4 coaster geeks, nuts whatever people choose to call us and given the fact im 6 hrs away from cp i would have rather had passes good next year but that wasnt an option. as to the sale of passes i would give mine to someone i knew whoo was going but i dont know anyone who is any of you want mine for free? ive got one of each from coastermania or how about we set up a free pass exchange for each other id be happy to donate mine to start it off but i dont have time to run it
But again Greg, I am not defending the person, but to them you are a nobody. You do not have a CedarPoint.com email address so you do not have authority to initiate an inquiry to the validity of an item for sale.

If Janice Witherow sent an email to them about it, or contacted them in any other method, I am sure they would have responded.

Teaj, the tickets clearly say "non-transferable". Selling or giving away the tickets is simply taking advantage of Cedar Point's apologetic gesture (which was going above and beyond their call of duty.) Setting up a system to promote such activity is, IMO, rotten.

Heck, I have a Dragster pass and another pass that is good for any ride besides Dragster. I have never dreamt of selling them on Ebay but would probably give them away if I wasn't planning on using them. I will be up to the Point tomorrow so hopefully I can redeem them both. :-)

Gimme speed, height, airtime and plenty of LAUNCH!!!

What if someone was there for one day, and they traveled many miles to get there and ride and got a pass but could not use it because they could not get back? They have a pass they can't use but someone else could! Why not let someone else get it and use it? Let people have fun! Maybe the people who buy them will only have limited time in the park and this will help them be able to ride before it breaks down again. I think it's an okay thing to sell them, even though it does say void if sold. That is a chance that the people buying it are taking. People get tickets or coupons and pass them on to others at a small cost so that they can use them. What is so wrong with it if Cedar Point doesn't care that it is going on? I doubt that they will stop printing them up since it seems to make people happy, they would not just let people go without some sort of compensation. Instead of refunding money they just print up the tickets and people are happy. Anyways, it's not my business what sells on ebay unless I am the one selling it. Just my opinion and I am sure almost everyone here will not agree with it.

Did you notice that someone has their media day medallion up for sale?

hmmm...I wonder how the park feels about that.

I understand (to some extent) the furor over the Freeway Pass being on eBay, but, Josh, if someone wants to sell their Media Day pack, why not? The recipients are under no obligation NOT to sell them, nor is there anything stating that they are not to sell them.

I have seen MANY media day items on eBay in the past and was just outbid on a few of them.
