TTD Down For Remainder of Season, Just Announced

Apparently there was a season-ending breakdown again this past weekend and it's curtains for TTD until next year. . .

I had hoped to log some October night rides, too.

What a bummer. . .

Oh, my bad. I just thought it was fresh "off the press" news. . .

Duly noted.

All CP Fanboys go back into your holes now.

Thanks,
DMC

Aww man, so I have to Crash?

I think TTD performed like the Indians did this season. It ran awesome, consistent, and gave us a wild ride... until it got to October.

Since TTD is so much like the Tribe, just wait until next year!

Yup, only a few months until we get to watch it break down again! Ooo, I can barely contain the excitement!

Wonder if any of those hyperactive lemon-law lawyers would want to take on this case?

Yup. Just announced three days ago.

GO TRIBE! They are my homies. After the Mariners, and Red Sox. The White sox have it this year, it's their turn. I called it, remember.

I'M SOOOOOO HAPPY THE YANKEES ARE GONE!!!!!!! They dynasty is fading... wait, what dynasty?

Again, about TTD, I still hold to my belief, it's sitting on the portal to hell, just like in the Amityville horor. *** Edited 10/11/2005 10:18:26 PM UTC by italianstallion***

Sorry guys, it's all my fault. Sunday afternoon I was looking for airfares to Columbus. :(
See...now where are the CP fanboys? Hiding in their holes...the same ones that complained about KK's downtime while showing off about TTD's reliability...just goes to show that these two coasters are equally as *****y, even though KK's been running excellent lately (from what I've heard)...so there.

Pfffffft. ;)

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger

It's all my fault. I rode dragster twice on sunday and got stuck in the launch position for five minute that day. It's the curse of Kingda Ka.

X, also known as the death of Arrow Dynamics.
Intamin AG, slightly ahead of our modernized times.

Um, yeah. Because TTD never broke down before Kingda Ka was built....

BigJim,

They are right here on this thread talking about how much this situation sucks.

MForce, there were at least triple the posts in this timeframe when KK broke down mostly from CP fanboys bashing KK. Notice the SF Fans are letting you guys mope and not bash TTD for the issues. So I agree with Jim on asking where they all are now.

What's the difference between a fanboy and someone who whines about a fanboy?

Not much.

I'm not whining about the fanboys...merely wondering where they are, agreeing with Dragon, making the same observation as him.

No, I'm with Walt. Calling out fanboys is just as bad as the fanboys themselves.

I guess this means I'll go the entire season without riding Stop Still Dragster, and frankly I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. Honestly, after riding it a few times, the novelty wore off really quickly.

Jeff, I just love the term "calling out the fanboys."

That has a very unique sound to it. And evokes a kind of WEST SIDE STORY feel to it. . .The CP fanboys (Jets) vs. the SF fanboys (Sharks). . .

Where's Officer Krupke when you need him?

But, I agree with you. The only thing about both KK and TTD that I still find interesting is the launch itself. The park visuals provided at the top of each ride are also an added attraction. . .but I hate arriving back at the station with saliva plastered to the side of my face. I think that the "thrill" of the ride is quickly defused after repeated rides, though, I suppose that is the case with many rides.

Yes the novelty of these rides is definitely wearing off. I rode KK 15 times this year and I can say that I will only ride it probably once or twice each visit next year. I would rather be on Nitro or Medusa than KK. As for TTD there is are plenty of rides at CP I would rather be on than TTD. So if it breaks down I would still be at the Point when planned.

Hey, I rode KK once, so it's still good to me. 15 times, is alot, you must have had the bot. Coasters like X, MF, S:ROS, Nitro, Magnum, will never fade.
