i agree with everything except my tsunami coaster will be 3000' and some change so it wont be shorter than falken.

...are you saying here that Tsunami is YOUR coaster ...?
Is that as in "I own the park" - "I designed it" - or as in "I live close by"
:
?

just curious :)

I think it would have been a solid addition if it was just an addition. I think it's a horrible addition because they are removing a truly classic wooden coaster to put in a sub par one. It is certainly a big risk and I'm deeply saddened to see another classic coaster I didn't get to ride go away.

Mildly amused since 2003.
It looks kind of like Cheetah.

You haven't ridden it.

- I say my coaster because i manage the rides department......so i consider it mine

-as far as removing the jr in favor of tsunami you couldnt be more off.. The owner would like nothing more than to have 2 coasters.. but the jack rabbits structure is in a very dilapidated state, the costs of maintaining and/or rebuilding it would be phenominal. Although the jr is historically significant it is not a draw....other than coaster fans and enthusiasts noone says lets go to clementon because of the jack rabbit. the owner is taking a big risk by buying this coaster as its price tag is around 4 million. The Tsunami coaster will not take up any space that the JR did. "IF" the JR comes down though that will open up space for possibly a steel coaster down the line as well as some flat rides, clementon is very landlocked.

You are you saying that at this point their are not plans to actually take down JR structure.

That "could" be good news

It can hit about 60-65 mph, depending on the weight of the trains. look at coney island's cyclone is 80 ft. tall
Care to elaborate DorneyDante?

I may be wrong but Intamin Plug n Play system is still all wood and no steel. its just makes maintenance alot easier because you can remove a section of timber and replace it easilly.

And it just so happens that Balder, Intamins second wooden coaster using the plug n play system has been voted the best wooden coaster in the world in Mitch Hawker's Roller Coaster Poll!

Are you willing to purchase one out of your pocket.........

I would if Denise would make some of her crazy deals.

i Just found out today that the Jack Rabbit will probably remain standing for another season...it wont run but itll be there

well that gives us some hope that maybe someday it will be refurb (althought a new train would have to be bought and since it would have to be custom it would cost more althought if they basically have to rebuild it they could just put track that allow upstops). Hey it's wishful thinking...I just don't want to see the oldest PTC build come down

BTW how is construction coming along...when is the targeted opening?

Construction.......hmmm whats that

As of right now engineers have been out today and last week surveying the land. construction should start within the next week or so. It has a ready date of may 15, which seems a little out of reach but......from what i heard it will have 2 crews that will work in 12 hour shifts( 6am-6pm and then 6pm-6am) that construction 24 hours a day until its finished. The weird thing about may 15 is that the park is not scheduled to open till may 26, so maybe that will allow time for ERT for media and other VIP's. As soon as good stuff starts happening i will let everyone know and take pics

That's excellent news about the JR not coming down next year. While I'll be sad to visit the park and see the coaster standing idle (again), it gives me some kind of hope that the coaster will be rebuilt in the future. Is there a reason for not removing the JR, or is just because the park doesn't have the finances to pay for the ride's removal, or are there plans to bring the ride back to life if Tsunami brings in more people? I'd love to think that the JR won't just fade away, but is instead part of a grander scheme...
Well imo the layout looks great, no MCBR, steep looking first drop, nice camelbacks, with a tight downward sprial, what doesn't look good about this coaster?

I just think people like to complain just to be complaining. IMO this coaster looks like it's gonna rock especially for a small park like Clems.

Anyways the only the only problem I have which is not big at all, is that, it will use those god aweful steel supports:O(. I hate woodies that use steel supports, i hate the sounds of it, and the looks of it. This Tsunami woody looks like it could be a real beauty if it was all wood imo. It still looks like a great ride imo.

X...I still can't believe it wasn't a dream

I don't think that anyone is just complaining for the hell of it. The potential loss of the JR is a serious thing- its not like they're removing the Dippin' Dots stand to make way for Tsunami- there is the chance that a 1919 John Miller coaster, the oldest PTC coaster still standing, could be lost.

Trust me, I'm as happy as I can be about a new wooden coaster in NJ, but I would prefer that the JR could somehow be saved, too. I know a lot of others feel the same way.
