(just thoughts for discussion.. not saying my opinions are better than anyone else's)
I respect that someone is more affected than I am, but to say that I'm being insensitive because I don't feel as affected is to me, wrong.
But, then, Death dosen't affect me like it does most people, and I'm okay with that.

So who gets to make the voice of the public that businesses listen to? Ultimately it has to be someone's opinion.(just thoughts for discussion.. not saying my opinions are better than anyone else's)
The GP DMan, they will be the ultimate deciders and we will have little voice in that, say about 1% if we are lucky. The decision will be PR listening to what the public has to say, nothing on this or any board. If anything, all this crap belittles our opinions further and further. Oh I know a lot will be said about that now, but you have to all realize, the more we make asses of ourselves on these sites, the more and more we make our opinions less and less viable to the parks. As enthusiasts, think of us as blue states and the GP as red states, thats about the best explanation I can give. If you don't think PR knows the difference, I guess you notice the caffein in Dunking Donuts is losing something.
An Old Coaster fart that refuses to grow old, I just wish many of my friends could have as well!
I don't know what much else I could add to the discussion, so I hope that my post ends it. If businesses want to change the names of the rides, it's ultimately up to them. If the GP wants to boycott the park for the name of the ride, then so be it, they'll probably give in and change the name of it anyway.
About the short attention span of the American public...I agree...while it will still be on our minds, I imagine in a few months, it will pass itself over, and perhaps people won't be thinking of the massive death toll over there, but rather, the massive relief efforts going into the place. When people see the word "tsunami", they might first think about the disaster, but maybe they'll then think about how they helped to donate, or sent items of some kind, or offered help/relief in their own little way, and think happy and positive thoughts about helping the living over there.
My two cents...
Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger
And did I mention the Love Sharing?!?
This thread is so much better than that "DaVinci Code" thing I put down to read all this!
I'm sitting here with my popcorn, soda, and jujubees.:)
Keep it coming, folks... ;)
Robo-just trying to lighten things up, ok. No one's opinion is wrong. Just keep in mind what your webmaster is pointing out.
...except Robo's ;)
(I'm only kidding! :) )
That's it! Fractal Swirl is my buddy icon no longer...

Now, where was I?
Oh yeah, something about threesomes...
This very company tried to open a store in Antioch Illinois but received fierce protest from residents of this community just because of the name.
While I understand it's not compared to the disaster that just happened with the Tsunami, I just wonder why people and even businesses make a stink about a generic name? Do we really get all bent out of shape on a name that really doesn't do much but promote a product?
I see no prob with a wavepool bearing the name of Tsunami. A wavepool is supposed to simulate an ocean and its waves regardless if it's on a small scale or an extreme event. It's all relative.

Nah, this thread doesn't touch DaVinci Code. The movie is scheduled for 2006. The movie versions are never as good as the original book (see any Stephen King). Ended up blowing through Davinci Code in less than 3 days. Excellent stuff.
Now about that threesome...
