Trip to Six Flags Great America

How many times have you been on RB? Because It seems that you have been on it one too many times if you think it is getting "cold."

Okay, my family wants to find the cheapest hotels we can stay in. Are there any cities within a half hour that offer very cheap rooms (around $50). We are planning on going up on a Monday, leaving in the morning and arriving to the park and going for the rest of Monday, staying in a hotel, coming back the entire next day, staying in a hotel, and then departing for a day in South Bend Indiana. Anyone have any ideas or places where I can find cheaper hotels?

Only got to ride RB on one day, I think I got four spins.....and if it wasn't "running cold", then the coaster is MASSIVELY overrated.....

Everything else at the park was great, staff, rides, etc., but the braking on Bull came early, often, and intense....the RIDES on Bull were not as intense....but the park was fantastic, wish the weather had cooperated a little better (but then there would've been crowds, So I guess we won).....

I do not think Raging bull has a bad seat. However, I liked the fron better than the back..

Just my opinion

Ride the back of the bull! The front is not worth the wait and I really did not enjoy it. The back is a different story though, the back has masive airtime especially on the first drop, now that is heaven(sp?). You must also go on Viper, one of the most under-rated coasters out there. Hope you have fun!

Well I'm going for sure on the 13th and the 14th to the park. Thanks buzzers, I'll look for Jeff on the Batman and use all your advice. It looks like I don't have to worry about getting banged up on Shockwave, but I'm going to get a ride on Whizzer in return. I'll be sure to return with an excellent trip report. I'm very excited because I have never left my state to go to a park. I usually stay local but I'm ready for the 8 hour drive!

I went yesterday (7th) and will be posting a trip report. My first time to SFGAm (or to any SF park). I loved Raging Bull, and the back seat is the money seat for me. Couldn't believe the amount of air time we got in the back vs the front.

Sorry I also missed you Jeff. I only rode Batman once on Tuesday evening. The hubby, who fits well in Raptor, had to struggle to fit into Batman so we only rode it once.

I agree Viper is underated.
