Trip Reports

Twice now I have written out my trip report and twice now it has not been posted. I was logged in when I wrote it and when I clicked post topic I was logged out and my trip report was lost.

Now tell me Cedar Point is running out of space.

If I were you I would type it in word spell check it and than post it. That way you won't lose it.

If you write something long, as a rule of thumb, copy the entire thing before you submit. If you don't use "save login" and take more than 20 minutes, you'll get logged out.

Whenever I type a long post, I use the Ctrl-A, Ctrl-C trick....that way, should anything *untoward* happen, I have the post on my clipboard...;)

I also learned the hard way about saving the reports to notepad. However, for some reason, one of my reports crashed the trip reports every time. I typed it up and lost it the first time. The second time I retyped it in Notepad and tried pasting it and had it crash. The next time I typed it into the text field and copied it before submitting and had it crash.

After that, I was a little reluctant to post my most recent report, but I didn't have a problem with it. The report that I had the trouble with was probably only about 10 paragraphs.

By the way, I'm pretty sure I has Save Login selected at the time.
