Travel Channel shows coming up soon!

I appolgize for already missing one of the shows, (Disney's Great Escapes), and forgetting to pass it on to you. But there are three more shows coming on before June is over. Here they are:

Monday, June 20th @ 10:00am

Undiscovered Walt-Disney World....Beyond the theme parks, restaurants, and souvenirs, discover what WDW offers off the beaten path. I believe this was on last year, but it is good.

Tuesday, June 21st @ 10:00am

America's Coolest Coasters....Here's the one most of us will be wanting to see! No info. about parks or particular coasters featured on the show were given.

Tuesday, June 28th @ 10:00am

Inside Walt Disney Studios : Paris....Disney engineers have taken Walt Disney's original Hollywood studios as a basis for a theme park and added the best stunt shows, coasters, and movie-based attractions.

All of these shows are on Travel Channel, and yes, the 10:00am start times are all accurate according to TC's website. Enjoy!

The one I want to see is the day RCT3: Soaked! comes out, hmmm. Be at Best Buy at 10:00AM and buy the game and play all day....or watch the show then go get the game and play they rest of the day, but not have the pleasure of being there right when Best Buy opens and getting the game fresh off the shelves. Enough said, take option B. :p

I wonder if the coasters show is recent, or if it is one of those 1997 shows...
I've recorded just about every coaster show TC, TLC, or Discovery has had on for years now, (and my wife keeps saying she can't stand it any longer and wants to know if I can transfer them to DVD's and get them out of her sight!) and I don't readily recognize this title.

It could have repackaged/retitled somewhere along the way, or chopped up/re-edited to make a seemingly new show (you would never believe how many shows I have where that little gnome Paul Reuben is shown in the same clips over and over again! And sometimes he's shown at SF talking about a PKD coaster!).

But my guess is that it's fairly recent! At least that's what I'm hoping!

According to the program description on my DVR, America's Coolest Coasters was released in 2005. All three of these shows are now set to record. God bless TiVo. :)

I have a show recorded called America's Coolest Coasters. It's from 2004 (accoriding to the copyright at the end). I'm assuming it's the same show. My apologies for being too lazy to take a quick look and let you know what's on it.

Definitely move those shows to DVD. I just did the same thing a few months ago. When you edit out commericals the shows come in at around 40 minutes. Three shows fit quite nicely onto a single sided DVD.

This is a new 2005 show, it was on only once in march of this year. It has some of the same footage as others, but dialog and everything else is updated, as when Dominator comes up, the name says Dominator, they call it Dominator, and tell you it's at Geauga Lake. This was the first show I've seen where it reffers to GL, since SFWOA. So yeah, it's a 2005 release.
does it have TTD in it by any chance? Know any of the other coasters featured?

Ok, so I skimmed the show real quick. It is indeed the one that ran earlier this year, but the end carries a 2004 copyright. Whatever.

Segment 1 - It opens with CP where Magnum and MF are named two of the 'coolest coasters'. Then a few quick clips with S&S guys about making rides. Then a very brief look at CP's roots.

Segment 2 - At BGT, Gwazi named 'coolest coaster' followed by a physics lesson using Montu.

Segment 3 - SFMM has four coasters added to the list: X, Deja Vu, Colossus and Goliath.

Paul Ruben warning for those with motion sickness - He does the on-ride of X.

Also shows a brief clip from this interview during the X part.

Segment 4 - Medusa added to the list of 'coolest coasters,' followed by Dominator.

Segment 5 - Master Blaster at Schlitterbahn added to the list of 'coolest coasters' followed by High Roller and Canyon Blaster.

Segment 6 - At Universal covering the park(s) a bit and then naming Hulk and Dueling Dragons as two of America's Coolest Coaster.

That's the show top to bottom. :)

DISCLAIMER - While it may appear otherwise, I do solemnly swear that I do indeed have a life. ;)

I'm going for an honorable mention on ARN&R. :)

It's been a while.

Attention Ho.
Please tell me you have a TiVo, Gonch. Or, better yet, a MythTV box.

Actually, I don't know which would make you more geeky... transcribing that show for us without a DVR or actually being able to set up a MythTV system.

Its too bad Tivo doesn't offer a Paul Ruben filter when recording the programs. *** Edited 6/17/2005 11:37:24 AM UTC by SpecialEd***

Just DVD player, the FF button and a few minutes to burn. :)

A plea for help has never been more clear. ;)

You're such a homemaker dad, Gonch. Do you watch Desperate Housewives?

;)

Seriously Paul Ruben has like 100 favorite coasters. I remember back when Superman the Escape was his favorite he kept bringing that damn banana on the ride and calling it his coaster-riding banana...he is so annoying sometimes yet he is on basically every coaster special.

I've seen every episode.

Seriously. :)

Oh my.

Minus 20 man points for Gonch ;).

I'll stick to waiting for 'reunion' this fall, Fox's answer to Desp. Housewives.
