Track Records

I think you should add a section under each park for coasters that are defunct. Even though a certain coaster is defunct or re-located, I think it we should still be able to add it to our track record.

Thanks! The new site looks great!

I would love to be able to add defunct coasters. It would be a great way to keep the memories of those great rides alive. It could get pretty hairy though, there are probably more defunct coasters then there are currently operating ones and it might be hard to verify. There could be coasters that have had several names so the same coaster could be posted several times.

OK then, here's the deal. Add the parks first in the contribute section. Then add the coasters, using SBNO as the type. Put the actual type and its closing date in the notes field. However, if you can't fill in most of the info, I won't approve it, because I want the most complete info possible. Thanks!

I would also have to add that if a coaster has moved from a defunct park, use the current name and location (ex. Hangman at Opryland is now Kong at SF Marine World).

What if the coaster and park are no longer standing or operating?
What if said coaster didn't have a name?
