Track Record Rank

I thought it would be cool if you could select maybe your favorite coaster, or top 3 coasters that are on your track record, and they could be highlighted, or maybe have and asterisk or something like that, which would show up when people clicked on your info.

A personel top 5 wood and steel would be cool. That could be changed and compiled to an overall top 10 list based on what every buzzer has as there top 5. That would always be displayed on the homepage.

Jeff, How hard would this be to implement?

Yeah! That would really would be excellent. I didn't think of compiling all of the members top coasters into 1 master top ten list. But, lets wait and see what Jeff has to say about the matter...

It would require an extra field for the favorites records and some means to change the values (read: more programming).

You know how I feel about enthusiasts ranking everything.

I know you're not really into the lists and such, but I do think this might be the best way to have a "poll" of sorts to find the users' favorite coaster. A traditional poll would become outdated after a time, but this idea would keep things a little more "real-time."

You have to admit this is a good idea Jeff.
An auto updating Overall coaster poll that all of the users could use and change their favorites when they ride new coasters so that it is reflected on the home page. I do not think any other website has this.

Couldn't it just be a box in the info edit screen. Sort of like the signature box, and every time someone wanted to edit their top 5's for wood and steel they would just edit their personel info and it would show up on their info page. From there each one for each member would be compiled for an overall Coasterbuzz Top 5 or 10 wood and steel.
