I love this site and I come here often. I think it was a good idea to start up the Coaster Buzz Club so that the site could be supported and that other benefits could be provided. I would join, but I already belong to American Coaster Enthusiasts. I would like to update my track record, but this can't be done unless you are a member or the Coaster Buzz Club. So my track record stands as being incorrect. I would like to suggest that you make this an option of members and non-members alike so that those who are not members can still keep a track record with Coasterbuzz.
Thank you,
Coasteraddict

CoasterBuzz is home to the original (extra crispy and original recipe) online track record. It will remain a premium service for club members. Since the advertising market dropped out, I needed some other way to pay the bills. The club is a part of that.
Honestly, if it's not worth $20 to you it's not worth $20 to you. That's your choice, but part of that choice means you don't get the track record.
Remember, the club's primary purpose is to support the site. Thank a club member when you get a chance, because if it wasn't for them, you wouldn't be posting here today.

Unless someone else picks it up, coastercount.com is probably down for the count. You can go through Google's netnews archives for rec.roller-coaster for some interesting reading about what happened.

IU shocks the world...AGAIN!!!! (NCAA Finalists!)
The main reason people join the club is too support it, the track record is just a added bonus. Jeff needs to offer as much as he can to those who join, or less would join. It is a something extra, you always have to pay for extra. Personally, I don't really care who knows my track record, and I don't care about other people's track record. This site offers plenty already for the amazing price of $0. Pay the extra $20 and you get more, it is just the way it is.

CoasterBuzz had the first on-line track record... make no mistake about it. If you search rec.roller-coaster on Usenet, you'll find a hilarious reply to someone posting a "press release" about it being a new idea that never had been done.
The reply was something along the lines of "I remember when it was called CoasterBuzz."

That was a damn good quote, if I don't say so myself. And to think that Thrillnetwork introduced their wowie-zowie super special Tee-shirt club within about two weeks of Coasterbuzz revealing ClubCB.
