Track on right side of tower

Just now in ten seconds the crane moved from a 110 degree angle to 170. Something is happening!

1:52 (Central) The crane has turned around and picked up track.

The Play by play is now over.

Uh oh, the play by play has wandered over from GTTP.

Anyway, AdamFrank... The Corkscrew at Michigan's adventure has a different color orange on the middle part of the screw then the rest of the coaster. I can't remember if it was significantly lighter or darker though.

Do the Moo Shoo!

Are they just messing with us or what? They had the lower red piece up earlier today now it is gone again. They did this to us yesterday with that white piece. Now they laid the crane back down. Darn them!

More play by play...

Looks like some of the red track was removed from the lower right side at 12:26pm PST...

Maybe Intamin did not give CP blueprints or assembly instructions. That way we can see just how great those CP people really are. Wow. They can assemble this huge coaster with no instructions. Now, I'm impressed.

Another thing that's weird is how there's very little track left in the parking lot. To me, it looks like there's barely enough to complete the tower, let alone to have a station and a brake run. Could more track arrive later?

Could? Of course more track will come. This isn't a tophat statue. My bet is that the point already has most of the track right now, it's just not at the park right now.

Well, I'm going today...first post on this board, but i visit all the time...I'll come back with some news, hopefully good :)

Who remembers the deconstruction of Xcelerator's first piece of track? I'd bet that CP is testing the same thing.

I remember Xcel's first track piece. They put it up and then took it right down. However, wasn't that piece part of the launch run, not the Top Hat?

-Adam

Isn't this piece part of the launch run? Also, it doesn't look too much like a tophat just yet...

87 different coasters for this year and counting... 149 total!

I doubt it but maybe the tophat isn't going to be that tall and thats why they aren't continuing with the structure. Maybe it will only be 240.
Why then do they have a crane that can reach 400 ft in the air then if the tophat will only be 240 ft?

It is going higher...Two more catwalks are on site...
Call me crazy but the structure doesn't look at all 200 feet tall, yet i think, judging on the pull in that it will be tall. Maybe its seeing it in photos rather than in person, but that tower so far is far shorter than xcelerator. it looks about the height of the water tower in the photo. I'd say the tower will end up being about 350-420 feet tall, no more.
Alternating colors makes it look like the ride is traveling faster than it is...plain and simple. Also it makes it look like a radio tower...

Korn Tour (With no name)--Korn, Puddle of Mudd, Deadsy

Radio tower? Is that a 50's icon & could they be going for that theme as well? Perhaps it'll be called 'Psychedelic' or 'Goldmember'? ;)

Looking at the cleared land suggests there will only be room for the launch & brakes. I don't see anything for another tower - Top Hat or Overbank. The current tower has no extensions for those as well, except for a catwalk lift/stairway. Could be higher up.

If there was another tower, it would be built at the same time or are they just building one at a time with one crane? Could be why construction started early. When did MF's start? And when was MF announced?

I get it, others say it will have the same layout as Xcelerator, only much bigger obviously! I say the right track is for the launch as it seems to be next to a busy walkway.

For the record, I'm for an upright Top Hat, that would be more scary than an inverted one.

Millennium construction started in September some time if I remember correctly.

I think they aren't going vertical with the construction because they don't want to reveal just how tall its going to be until the official announcement is made. When is that going to happen again? Pretty soon I hope. I already paid for my Dorney Park season pass. I'll visit CP at least 3 to 4 times next season.
Man. I wish I would have paced off that boom last Saturday when it was flat on the ground. This week it was left in the air with a big arch in the middle so that we can not measure it. I always think of these things too late. I really wanted to know how tall it is. Guess we will just have to wait. :(

Coming soon to CP: Candy Cane: The Ride.

Right now, I really think this thing looks ugly, but we'll see when it's done, I suppose.
