topic closing! - CoasterBuzz

Jeff, I think if your going to close the topic, Email the person and at least tell them WHY it was closed. If you did, we could learn from it and not do it again. Think about......

No being a jerk, but YOU might read the T.O.S. and if you follow those, no topics will be deleted, bud.

If I sent e-mail to every last new member who posted a half-dozen topics that are generally the type we close or delete, I wouldn't have much time for a real life.

I know it's not personal but some topics I wrote didn't break any of the rules but were still closed for what reason I still am not clear on.

Apparently it did break a rule, somebody said it was a list topic. Who would really want to read lists anyways? Why I think I do. I'm going to goto my neighbors and ask if I can read the grocery list they have made! How fun!

But really, you don't need to break any rules for Jeff to close or delete your topic. Some people get the idea that this is a democracy. It's not, it's a privatly owned website that is run however the owner wants to run it, and Jeff chooses to run it as a dictatorship, which IMO is a good thing. Have you ever read RRC? It's a mess in there, and lacks moderation (not that newsgroups can become moderated)

Not necessarily ForceMillennium. If we feel its a good topic and other members create trouble in it, we will just delete the troublemakers from the topic.
