So has Dragster been running at full capacity with all six trains? What was the wait times for Dragster?

I think mantis tracks look hot. I like how they look like supermans colors. Those colors are attractive to me.
I can tell you what an employee told me about the Dragster cars: They haven't got all of them yet. There is supposed to be 16 seats per train, and there were only 12 as each train was missing a car. And there were 5 trains there (yesterday) and only 3 of them were running. They said they'd get the others going for peak season.

Dunno if they changed their minds for opening day. I was wondering if the ride was running well today actually. Yesterday it was having some problems.

Today dragster was running three trains and I waited for 3 hours by getting in at 9 am with Joe Cool Club. But later the line had gotten longer and the queue had filled so I don't know how long the wait was later.
HiH, how fast was the line moving?
The trains are missing one car because the magnets are not strong to slow the train enough for the kicker wheels to stop it.
No, that's backwards....many of the lims have been removed. See earlier threads.

Mmm-MMM!! Mantis is looking sharp! I am really liking the new look, with the red rails and all. I just hope it stays like this a bit longer this time! Thanks for the pics, SOOperGIr!

Yes, you get quite a bit of airtime up and over the hill and down the drop! I rode in the last occupied row on Media day, which is the 2nd to last row. The air was VERY strong and the ride was excellent, I want to ride more!

BTW, TTD doesn't use LIMs, it uses some sort of hydraulic system for the launch.

I will agree that Top Thrill Dragster is one kick butt addition to CP (rode it today and was blown away by that launch).

BTW, Mantis looks fabulous with the new paint job.

Just to nitpick, the fins used for braking aren't LIM's. They're just metal fins.

I still didn't think WT was at full power yet - the 2nd forward launch didn't get as high as I remember opening day last year, but there was an extra "oomph" on the 3rd launch that made up for it ;)

As far as TTD goes, my Dad and I waited 5 hours for it (right from the beginning of the day) and it was completely worth it. I can't even remember most of my ride - all I remember is an amazing feeling and laughing myself silly when it was all over. When strangers all over the park are talking to each other all day about it, you know you have a winner of a ride!

And I think Mantis' paint looks awesome, but I'm also one of those weird people who actually *likes* Mantis! And the crew (although its mostly the same people) was a lot better this year so far - less screwing around and more doing their jobs.

TTD had only three trains running. When I whent to get in line they said it would be six hours. ( the line was so long they were giving out bathroom passes) I asked a worker at cedar point if the line would get shorter anytime soon and she said we should be running 1500 people per hour but we are only getting About 200 people per hour.

Jeff If you know anything I would muchly appreciate it thank you.

TTD was built TTD has come TTD is here to stay.

Yes, only 3 trains and all short a car, so two trains would launch really quick than the 3rd car a little latter. Your alot more upright than Millenium and the seat in front alot closer so I think bigger pople are going to have more problems with it, that slowed down the line alot. I got in line at about 7:55pm, they said the line was 5-6 hours but i was on buy 11:30pm and that was with a down period of about 25 min. Nice not beeing kicked out of the line after closing becuse the ride went down.

Lines at miday were up every where, when Mean Streak was open it had about an 45 min wait, Mantis had about an hour, along with Raptor, Millenium was about 6 que's past the pop machines at 2pm so about 2 and a half hours. Maggie was about 1 hour miday but was a walk on after 6 as was everything else except for TTD. Disaster had about a 30 min line which was amazing considering Blue Streak was a walk on. Wildcat looks sweet in every way except for the cars, Mantis is supposed to be finished this week, if you parked in the soak city lot the painters trailers and the cherry pickers were parked in the back of the lot.

Alright a little info about the TTD trains...
the fifth car was not removed because of faulty breaks. There is more than enough stopping power.. in fact they have removed ever fifth break fin because the Break run was overkill! (just look up when your in the que.. you will see)

Even with the fins removed an empty train will crawl into the saftey's

I was really surprised, but seing that with my own eyes I can tell you for a fact the break run is not an issue!

I believe Jeff stated that they ae just Breaking in the Hydrolic Launch and that is why the fifth car was removed..

While in line a TTD op told me that yes they had removed the 5th car... and they were planning on putting it back on this week sometime so it will be running five car trains next weekend..

Now I don't know how much water that holds.. as far as actually being next weekend.. but hey be positive... it will happen soon ..

Compacity is really slow right now.. but have faith it will get better.. much better.. and no matter how long you wait ... the ride will extinguish all dissapointment.
