Does this mean the running of the bulls goes in the other direction?!

Our local Fox affiliate showed the first part of that rollback from yesterday. It made it almost all the way up and you could just tell it wasnt going to go all the way and just as it was stopping and starting to reverse they cut away...

I would never say "it" is better than MF because I haven't ridden "it" yet. Even after I do get the chance to experience "it" I would never say which is better (No vs. threads allowed). I'm just saying since TTD is a new ride, it will most likely take the majority of guests. -Then the other attractions that typically have longer lines, won't be so long! :-)

jkpark: I don't think Kevin Max was responding to you

Kevin Max: Don't turn this into a vs. thread. Jeff already stated his opinion indirectly (the most intense ride anywhere), so don't go fishing for a yes/no answer.

I don't think I could pick between the two anyway (not to mention I've had three rides on Dragster, at least 60 on MF). Dragster is kind of a cross between a coaster and a drop ride.

On the short ride time, consider this. After an experience that intense and incredible, what could possibly follow it up? No thanks... I smile for a good 15 minutes straight after each ride. It doesn't need anything else.

I think Jeff makes a solid point there. Why add more ride when what is there already got your adrenaline pumping. A lot of people have criticized the ride without having riden it for being launch-tophat-brakes, but from what I have been hearing from everyone that has riden it, including those in the press, that short ride is nothing short of amazing and gets your adrenaline to the point where your heart is beating hard and you feel on top of the world. Why ruin that with a few overbanked turns?

I think the same rule of riding Magnmu after MF will need to be used for riding MF after TTD, just make sure you ride another coaster before the second ride and Im sure you will love MF just as much as you used to. As for TTD, dont get me wrong I cant wait to ride it, but I am a little bit disapointed that CP rolled out yet another "gimick" or "one trick" coaster. Granted it is one hell of a gimick but do you see TTD gracing the #1 coaster spot ten years from now like Magnum did? Heres hoping that after WT and TTD CP gives us a tradional 2+ min ride next time around, and I cant wait to ride TTD in late June!

So what else do you want them to do? Build another Millennium Force? Another Magnum? We all agree they could build another smaller wood coaster (in enthusiast circles, anyway), but you can't market off that the way you can on something like this.

The only thing left for them to really go for is the inversion record. Seeing how they've been working with Intamin, who has built a 10-inversion ride... ;)

But I won't go there. This ride gets the spotlight now and it very much deserves it.

I HEART OHIO

Jeff, what a nice way to get all the kids saying CP will build a coaster with 20 inversions next year ;)
This ride is GREAT the way it is. Even after 4 hours of waiting, I have nothing but good things to say about this ride. If people are complaining that it does nothing else but launch, go up and over, and come back, let us not forget that PLENTY of coaster enthusiasts said that MF should have the first drop, and then go right back to the station (I'm not one of those enthusiasts). Perhaps CP actually heard those enthusiasts and were trying to make them happy this time.

Goccvp1,

Was that you talking with Mangino this morning on 570?

Life's not fair.

So will Mantis be painted by May 4?

Intelligence is a God given gift: Know how to use it.
Mantis was being painted while we stood in line for TTD on Thurs. There are only a very few small parts of the ride unfinished (the rails at the top of the lift). The guy painted the supports on Thurs was getting purple paint on everyone waiting in line, too! Quite funny, because well, I didn't get any on me. ;)

My TTD report will be coming later!

Did anyone hear anything on whether or not the trains will eventually recieve the removed cars? Were the airgates for the removed car roped off or completely removed?
Jeff's avatar
Yes, for the millionth time, the short trains are a temporary phenomenon.
