Top 10 Dumbest CEO's dicisions (includes Kinzel)

FoF has backlighting for all the "rough" areas, so your never really in the dark dark. But at least the Lights are different colors and not just floodlights.

Who said King Cobra's trains were in the building? I never saw 'um.

Congo Falls - 90 (one day)

I personally think Disaster Transport is one of the best rides at Cedar Point. It's not intense, it's not overly forceful, but it's flat-out fun. I definitely am one of those who consider CP's coaster collection extremely mediocre (minus two real standouts), yet I *always* ride DT when I visit, and it always puts a smile on my face.

If Mr. Kinzel wants to talk about "stupid decisions", he should take a look at the park's most recent addition.

I-Nar, note "mostly mediocre". 6/16 "great" coasters isn't that good when SFWOA can do 6/10. Of course, that's my crazy opinion which includes Serial Thriller (best freakin' Vekoma SLC ever) as "great". ;)

Both parks still have one coaster in my "so bad it's not even funny on an empty, rainy Tuesday with your host, Dick Clark" rating. It's strange that another CF/SF combo on the east coast are the only other two parks with a coaster that wins that as well.

Prime example of "Point-baiting?"

I'm just going to stay out of this one.

I like DT. Quite a bit actually, and like some others said, I like it better then some other rides there. (Like Iron Dragon or Mean Streak...Blah.)

Still, I have to wonder. If he thinks it is such a dumb decision, why is it still there? Scaratching head....

Anyone been on Skull Mountain @ Six Flags Great Adventure...thats definitely my favorite indoor coaster, being my third. Comparing Skull Mountain to disaster transport is like comparing Millennium force to Junior Gemini. Skull Mtn. is an amazing ride compared to DT, but DT has some fun in it - the theming USED to be really cool. Way to go Intamin for Skull Mtn. tho

Top Thrill Dragster: 15 seconds is long enough to piss your pants...trust me...

WoA has six good coasters? Where? Are they hiding them? Do you have to buy a special key to get into that part of the park? I'm so out of the loop....

Let's see....:

Batman Knight Flight - Somehow, they made an uncomfortable floorless. How did they manage this?

Big Dipper - Good classic coaster. Ok, that's one.

Double Loop - Arrow looper. Not too terrible, but definitely mediocre.

Mind Eraser - Vekoma boomerang....enough said. Same as it ever was...

Raging Wolf Bobs - this coaster was a friggin' nightmare when I visited. I hope the recent work on it, and the new work to be done, turns it into something rideable.

Roadrunner Express - not bad for a kiddie coaster. Ok, we'll count this one.

Serial Thriller - you list this as good, and I consider it a Vekoma SLC. It was a headbanger's ball. Not worth the time, I didn't think.

S:UE - I have to admit, this ride is fantastic. Count as another one, so we're up to three.

Villain - a horrendous piece of garbage. Maybe it's the trains...but I hated this ride, and people were getting off it holding their sides, elbows, and knees in pain. Not good.

X-Flight - Vekoma Flyer. Was rougher than Batwing, IMO, but still a good ride.

So that's 4 good rides out of 10. I personally think that CP has 7 good rides out of 16 (Yes, I like Mantis - so sue me.) Comparable percentage, with CP slightly higher.

All this is, of course, opinion. However, in life, people often like to tear down the guy who's on top of the rankings, and on top of his game. It doesn't surprise me that people have such specific responses to CP.

*admitting that I'm approching fanboi status*

I'm not so sure I'd slap a "great" label on anything at SFWOA except BKF from the right seat and just maybe Villian if I'd never, ever been on a CCI in my life. Okay, I've become a standard Impulse fan now so I guess that makes 2 1/2.

However, I'd slap a couple "greats" on their wavepool/Violent Aqua Mosh Pit of Doom. That thing rocks. Same for the Season Passholder Cheap Liquor Spot. They could have VF's coasters with the brakes on full stop and I'd still be happy.

Boy, I should never admit I like SFWOA more than CP... ;)

I consider Knight Flight, X-Flight (same "great"ness as the B&M Flyers for layout and intensity reasons), SUE (better than WT, which I consider "great" as well), Big Dipper (Blue what?), Villain (my favorite coaster at SFWOA, brilliantly and pleasantly rough), and Serial Thriller (just plain fun and intense) as "great". All six of those are better than my #7 at Cedar Point: Disaster Transport, and All That Jazz.

-Danny, enjoys CP and SFWOA equally, likes Disaster Transport more than Skull Mountain, and considers Viper at Great Adventure a "great" coaster

But you can't just count the top 7 record holders at Cedar Point as the only good rides. What about Gemini, Blue Streak, hell even Corkscrew. The rides keep giving thrills, Gemini more than any.

Danny, you are a sick, sick man if you think that Togo torture device is a great coaster...

The rest of your comparisons didn't phase me one way or another...but dude - Viper a great coaster? ? ?

Jephry, were you talking to me? At one point, Gemini was a record holder and I thought it was better than any other coaster at CP. It's in "the six". Corkscrew is *not* a "great" coaster IMO. I like GASM and I don't consider that a "great" coaster either. Blue Streak is forgettable. Honestly, I often forget it's even at the park.

George, Viper is sick (or raw as Brian likes to say) itself! It's hard not the love the only steel coaster I've been on with an insane mind of its own. ;)

What was the topic of this post?
The ride was nice even uncovered. Not big, fast or anything else, just nice and smooth. The enclosure into total darkness changed the ride, but i would have to agree with Kinzel, it probably wasn't worth $4 million.

I like it when the "except for" includes just about the six best coasters in the midwest......

How can any SLC be great? I think people throw that word around too much. Because i like a ride i wouldn't think it's necessesarily great.
Actually , I agree with Danny about Serial Thriller at SFWOA. Couldn't help but like this coaster. Now , T2, its sibling at SFKK, is a freaking torture device on steel track.

Arena football has arrived in the Windy City. Go "Chicago Rush"

Koaster King, you're not alone. Serial Thriller is a blast - best footchoppers I've ever seen. And based solely on coasters, I like WOA equally as much as CP. Of course, for everything else (food, service, ride ops, prices, and overall atmosphere) I'd take CP any day. And I've yet to ride TTD, so maybe that'll change my mind...

Oh, and to keep to the original topic, I do always ride DT and i think it would be a great ride if it wasn't so short. But the theming (especially the new stuff) is totally awful. Just paint it black... (do do do do do do... gonna paint it black... :) )
