Work continues at Paramount's Kings Island. PKI Zone recently posted new photos from the park. The photos include what looks like parts of the actual ride for Tomb Raider: The Ride.

The park has stated MANY times that the ride won't be a coaster. It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone by now that TR isn't a coaster.
Sean (who goes by the ' ride before cry' way of thinking) F.
Furthermore, Sean's point is that it's pretty silly to whine about any ride that you haven't even been on yet.
Talk to the people who live in the Pacific Northwest or regions of the Midwest where any coaster to ride period, new or old, is a treat. Then get back to us when you really have something to complain about.

SOB is not the newest coaster. Reptar was built in 2001, which makes it the newest one.
what in the heck are you talking about with pictures of the vortex looking like its torn down

Why is it that you won't take anyone's word about TR:TR NOT not being a rollercoaster? PKI just installed 4 coasters in a row for the past 4 years. I think this is a good move on PKI's part to get something else besides a coaster.
Secondly how many times have you been able to see the Vortex's corkscrew from the parking lot? None, because of the trees and the geography of the land the park sits on. That's where I took those pictures on the website. Vortex is NOT coming down it is simply getting it's paintjob finished. Also the first drop does not go into a double loop it makes a wide turn around before the loops which are still standing.

Yes you are correct, I completely forgot about that one. It is a good little ride. I liked it.

It isn't that I don't trust yall. Its just that I haven't seen that bit of info before. I even asked you people to post the info. And yet no one has yet. Why is that? Now, I can think of three semi new roller coasters PKI put in and they are Son Of Beast. Face/Off. Runaway Reptar. Them are the ones that I think you are refering to. Whe I say new I don't mean like brand new I mean withen 5 years. But what is the fourth roller coaster?

Well man, the thought of stoping in the parking lot and looking at the coasters from outside the park never really came to me. Nor did I ever study the land that the coaster sits on. And I never said anything about Vortex comming down. That would be stupid and pointless. When I first sall the picture I thought that they were replaceing the old parts of the track but then when I looked back at the picture I saw the second loop and the first drop. Now when I said that the drop goes right into the the two loops... I didn't mean it in the way you thought I did. I know that after the drop you go up a will and make a wide turn and slope down into the two loops. I know how the ride is, beleive me, I have ridden it enough times to know. Rather you people believe or don't believe that I like by PKI doesn't matter to me. Let me just say this. When I first sall that a new ride was comming to PKI (I could tell because of the construction going on by the Beast) I thought a new coaster would becomming. One of my friends said that it could be HyperSonic XLC. When I thought about it, it could have been true but instead we get a thrill ride. Who wants one of them besides some of you? I don't. Yes, some thrill rides are fun but not when the coasters they have now are old and tired. We are in need for a good roller coaster. Yes, Son Of Beast is great but that is about it. Vortex just doesn't cut it anymore and neither does Flight Of Fear. You can hardly ever get on Face/Off because of the line and Top Gun isn't worth the wait either. The only ride up there worth waiting for is Son Of Beast. I rode King Kobra for the first time this year and lets just say I will never wait more then 20 minutes for that ride again. It was a complete waist of time. I am really waiting for PKI to put in a ride where you can fit four people across. I think it would be so neat if they added a coaster like Chang at KY Kingdom. I know it can't be the exact same but the same type of coaster. Chang is a cool ride. It was totally worth the trip to Ky Kingdom. The ride was fast, smooth, long and well fun. We rode it at least 5 times while down there. Another good ride was T-2. I didn't like it as much as Chang but it was worth the wait. I think I can handle the thrill ride this year (if that is what it is) but in 2003 we better get a roller coaster.
what gives you the right to bash pki's coasters, because you forgot to do a little research before you posted

Anyway, here it is......
"Paramount Parks, a unit of Viacom Entertainment Group, announced today, plans to trransform this summer's epic adventure, Paramounts Pictures' "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider," into a unique, multi-sensory adventure ride."
Also, I earlier back in July, e-mailed Jeff Seibert of PKI and asked him if TR:TR was going to be a rollercoaster or not? He e-mailed me back saying TR:TR would most deffinetly NOT be a coaster but would be a totally new experience to the amusement park industry. So there you go pkifanatic. Hope this was the information you wanted.
