to the Front of the line...

SFNE does not allow handicap people to ride SROS ever since the the handicap guy got killed a couple of years ago. They are very strict you can't even ride if you have a cast on.
Excellent point, YoshiFan.

It's sad that some people cheat the systems, but honestly I have NO problem even if parks DO give some "preferential treatment" to disabled guests to make life a little easier.

(Disclaimer: technically, I AM eligible for a special-access pass at many parks. I refuse to get one, as I am perfectly capable of waiting in the normal line and would rather leave the system available to people who actually do need it)

"You seem healthy. So much for voodoo."

That good to hear GregLeg. I only assume that there are a lot of disabled people that need special access, but don't get it because of being labeled or ridaculed. Its a shame, because they are the people I don't mind using it one bit. Its when somebody with a knee brace come jogging up the exit ramp with his 4 buddys, I get a little ticked

If you are able to get in the ride under your own power and use the restraints properly, you can't be barred from riding. That said, I have seen people riding who probably shouldn't. I guess parks don't want lawsuits. But, then, if they get hurt, there's a lawsuit anyway. Guess the park can't really win either way.

And as far as groups being together, my husband and I were in line for Shipwreck Falls at SFA last weekend, when the couple in front of us waved a bunch of friends up to join her, but my husband blocked them, telling them it was line jumping. The woman got mad, said something in Spanish, then the couple went back to join their friends, behind us. They ended up sitting in the seat behind us, where the woman spent the ride up the lift hill screaming at the little boy next to her. Should have complained, but I was happy not letting them cut in line. If you want to ride together, enter the queue together! *** Edited 5/30/2007 12:01:13 PM UTC by ilovethewildone***

I thought at KI they assigned you a person (usually the person you're with at the park) to stand in line, then you can get on when they make it to the front. I dont see anything wrong with that method
^^ You know what I hate worse?

It's the groups who try to synch up at the airgates so they can all ride in the same train.I mean whatever happened to just waiting at the exit for the members of your group if they're in another train?

That's what we always have to do at KD every year as we tend to have three in our group. What we do is I & my friend ride one coaster together while his GF rides in the next train & then we reverse it on the next coaster with me riding solo while the two of them ride together but we always meet up at the exit.

We always try to sync up at the air gates if there are four of us - on a coaster with two-seat rows. But, we've never asked to go in front of someone. We always ask people if they want to go in front of us. If it is too confusing though, we just ride on different trains and wait at the exit.
