Tivoli Garden's new B&M!

Anyone notice that in the last picture (showing the immelmen) that the train is going the wrong way? ;)

It looks like a small, yet fun B&M coaster. I would be glad to have this at my local park!

Hmmm, a sweet looking B&M crammed into a small footprint....

You been doing some on-the-side consulting Lord Gonchar?

Its a budget B&M, perhaps? :)

Very cool layout!

I'm just going to bash every ride before it's built. I will asume it sucks until I ride it and my opinion changes. Of course, there willbe some new coasters I won't ever be able to ride, so they will simply have to suck forever.

Is that a Q-bot in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

The ride is supposed to cost 10 million € (about 12 million $). That´s not exactly cheap for a ride of this size.

Apparantly, the largest amount of money is going into land survey, structural analysis, etc.

From what I heard elsewhere, a higher and nearly doubled tracklength would cost just 20% more.

Anyway, a loop, an Immelmann, and a zero g are the best inversions on a B+M imo. Add to this the tight footprint (no other Beemer has crammed inversions like these) and prepare for a wild and intense ride.

The theming will be extensive with walk through sections. I think its great that a park like Tivoli is getting a tiny thriller. They sure don´t need it to attract customers, but they can afford it. So, thanks Tivoli!

I was half-kidding about the budget B&M thing, although it probably is, when compared to other floorless coasters.

Not really. Medusa costed 15 million and it makes this coaster look like a kiddy coaster.

Yes, it's small and short, but maybe parks will now realise a B&M isn't always huge. And they will forget Vekoma if they need a new compact looper ;-).

Roarrrr...

Wasn't land scuplting one of the biggest costs for Wildfire at SDC?
Maybe this is one of the reasons.

It is similar to the $14 million Wildfire, in where it is very compact.

lol, looks good but i agree that it is too short, but no it's not the shortest B&M, oblivion and G9 or wateva it's called is still the shortest

Nemesis: Inferno [6]

"On the face of it, it's not that big a coaster, but when you compare something like Alton's Nemesis against Busch Gardens Williamsburg's Alpengeist, the same can also be said for Nemesis. But, and I firmly believe this, Nemesis is the best thing B&M has ever done"

This is a very good point. The enjoyment obtained from riding a coaster does not always positively correlate with its size. The intensity of Nemesis can be attributed to its compact layout and its surperb interaction with the surrounding landscape.

Although, despite being immensely fond of Nemesis, I prefer Montu which has the size and is also very well integrated with the themeing and the terrain.

I know I'm impressed that this thing is crammed into the former spot of a kiddie coaster. Very interesting if you ask me.

It doesn't have to be the biggest or have the most inversions to be a good ride. But I'm holding judgement until I ride it. Until then, we'll see if it gets added to my "to-do list".

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but Batman:The Dark Knight has everyone of it's inversions interlocked with another section of track.

This lil' Beemer looks as though it will pack quite a punch. I couldn't find any info on how many trains there will be. If there are two the ride-ops are going to have to hall some major arse!

Um, ok. Where exactly does the Zero-G Roll interlock with another section of track?

------------------
Whenever you can ride a roller coaster and experience 15 spots of intense airtime, you know you're on a good coaster. (see: Phoenix)

For what I said earlier about not liking the ride, I must have misread the specs. I thought it said only 60 ft. But I can still say what I want. I dont know if I dont like ride. Never been on it and never will. But I guess you cant just coaster by its apearence.

But I still think its too short.

The Zero G roll on B:DK goes through the dive loop.

I didn´t mean "interlocked inversions". I wanted to stress that the three inversions on GOLDEN LION will be built in the smallest space ever for a B&M. The transitions will be incredibly tight. BDK is more stretched out compared to the new Tivoli ride.

Yes, there will be two trains (six rows each). As europeans are not so sue-happy (yet) the loading/unloading at most fairs and parks is incredibly fast compared to the states. People will sit down, tighten their safety devices themselves, the ride ops just have to check if everything is alright, and BON VOYAGE.

If they're really going to build the Immelman like shown on the renderings, it'll have a lot of Gs: The ascending curve is almost a perfect circle, which may exceed the 5G limit.
I hope they're going to reshape it a bit... not only for the sake of peoples spines and necks, I simply like love those weightless Immelmans of other B&Ms so much.
(Actually, on the technical drawings, it doesn't look that bad... I bet it's all going to be fine and B&M smooth!)
