We've added 26 new Titan pics. The station construction has begun and the tallest parts of the lift were lowered and secured in place today.

Sick, sick sick...

I must find a way to Texas...
I am soooo ready! Now if I could just find the Fast Forward button...
LOL!! Why is everyone so impressed? They've built one a dem before, it's called Goliath. :)

Also, is it me, or is this thing in a parking lot type area? That's not very attractive at all, IMO. Anyone know if this is true?

Joe, who will ride Goliath in March and Titan in May of this year.

Best Coaster: Millennium Force

Yes this coaster is like Goliath but its BETTER!It has an extra Helix and camel Backs. I think its going to be my favorite coaster when I ride it.

Part of it is being built over some of the employee parking lot.

You must have some type of learning disorder because Titan is NOT a clone, end of discussion!

"Maybe I ain't so shy!"
Where are these so oft talked about bunny hills?! I saw a pic of the blueprints and the *only* think different was the helix before the blocks. No different ending whatsoever.

The Shy One, you're right, it's not a clone. It's only 95% clone, 5% original. ;)

(Yeah, the impulse at SFMW isn't a clone! It's 30ft shorter! Riiiiiiiight...)

Are my eyes deceiving me? Or do they list the drop at 280ft? Goliath's drop is 255ft, so if that other stat is correct, Titan will be an entirely different ride to say the least! Heck, that's only 20ft shorter than MF, and we all know how much extra speed impacted THAT ride. ;)

Time to take a little trip to my cousin's house who just happens to live in Arlington, and he only lives 20 minutes away from SFOT.

2 for 1 in 2001:SFGAm all the way!!
2002:CPs year 2 rule!
I don't know where they got their info from, but SFoT's website says:

Towering 255 feet above the earth, the muscular steel superstructure features one of the world's mightiest drops at hyper speeds of 85 miles an hour.

Exact same dimensions as Goliath at SFMM...

Wonder if they'll kill it on the blocks with this one too? Probably shouldn't have to seeing as how they added a helix before the block brakes.

Anyone know of a place where I can see a layout of this coaster. I can't really tell that much from these photos.

thanks.

Dang it! Knew it was too good to be true. Still, the helix before the block should be amazing!

Hey The coasters speed is 88mph and it is 280 Making it different it .Saying titan is a clone is the same as saying that X-Flight is a clone of seath. Titan will rock and be the best coaster on the planet.Wich making sfot have the best wooden and steel coasters in the World! *** This post was edited by Brandon L on 2/7/2001. ***
You "people" pick a coaster to death! Its a roller coaster, whether it has been cloned 10 or more times. Being cloned or near-cloned doesn't mean it isn't a roller coaster. I smell jealousy, maybe that's why all these "people" are saying its a clone. A real coaster enthusiast would not complain yet he/she would be glad...

ACEers were told at Texas Winterfest on Jan 27 that Titan had a tunnel 25ft below grade. That with a 255ft tall lift hill gives you a drop of 280ft and obtaining 88MPH.
Well if that's true all I can say is WOW! See you in April!

SFOT doesn't have the best steel and wooden coasters and never will! Paramounts Kings Island has the best wooden coasters and when X,DeJa Vu are finished SFMM will have the most coasters and the best steel coasters!(And yes Superman The Escape is a coaster!!!!)The brakes need to be there on Titan because of the 2nd Helix.People are definatley going to pass out on this ride becaus eoif the first helix you'l be going about 80 mph through it!!!!Big G is way better.
