Tired of Vekoma (it's not what you think...read)

It's not that great being short (I'm 13 and 5'2) because people think your younger. :( That's kind of discrimination. Plus all my friends are at least 3 inches taller than me...:(

"Hey S:ROS at SFA has a max height limit too because of the first helix. Hey you might not be able to ride some roller coasters, but you can play basketball!:) (If someone asks you as a tall person if you play basketball, just say "No, do you play minature golf?)"

Actually I was thinking of asking them if they are a horse jockey (I get that question about 5 times a day when I go to a park). I know S:ROS has a max limit too, but I just hope these "state of the art" companies can fix their problems soon. *** This post was edited by saviourmachine on 6/27/2001. ***

I will have to remember to slouch while waiting in line. I am 6'4". I will also invest in some really flat-sole shoes! If they ask, I'm telling them that I'm 6'2", I hope I don't run into any overzealous ride ops. (IF the @#%& thing ever opens, that is)

Vekoma told us that there is no longer a height limit on X-Flight. Theres no weight limit either. If you can fit and we can lock you down you can ride. It might not be that comfortable but you can ride. This might be the same thing with Deja Vu. Starts w/ a limit then gets lifted when relized its not needed. Besides I doubt the ops would check to see if your too tall anyways.

I would rather be safe than ride Deja Vu, xflight. I'm glad there is no longer a limit for the flying coasters, but I doubt they will lift the limit on Deja Vu, because that is due to footchopping effect over the station.

This is one good reason to be short! And people have always teased me about being short for my age... Anyway that does stink for all tall people and I agree that they should take this into considerartion when designing rides. Though I'm still growing and I'm praying I don't rocket up!

"Well, it's official: I can't ride Deja Vu. It has just been announced that you have to be under 6'4" to ride deja vu. I am too tall."

Where did you hear this at?

"This company never fails to piss me off. I am so stinking tired of rides that tall people can't ride. It's flat out ridiculous. It is really getting old, and you'd think that in an era where people are taller, companies would strive to build rides everyone can ride. My brother can't ride anything Vekoma makes anymore (SLC, Deja Vu, flying coasters...) It is just plain stupid."

I'm over 6'4" and I can ride both Face/Off and T2 with no problem. The only problem I had on a Vekoma coaster was Runaway Reptar because it really wasn't meant for big people, but I still rode 15 times on media day. I usually stayed on without getting out of my seat.

BeastMaster:
I found the Deja Vu height info on the six flags Magic Mountain website. As for the other coasters, I can barely ride them, as I am 6'6". My brother, however, is 6'11", so he can't ride any of them. Luckily he isn't as big of an enthusiast as I am. Deja Vu is the first ride I can't fit on.

Are you serious? Vekoma and SFWOA did away with the weight limitations on X-Flight? Wow, color me shocked.

wow, I have a feeling I'm gonna have trouble with Deja Vu as well as V2. I've already ridden V2 @ SFGAm a couple times and I've niticed that my head doesn't fit against the little head imprint. instead I hit the back of my head where the head rest curls back into nothing. I'm only 6', I think, but I wouldn't be surprised if I pull my feet up while going over the station on Deja Vu.
