Thunder Dolphin was ok, I guess, but it really was rather tame. Looks damn cool, though.

As I work at a magazine I suspect I know what happened here. Time probably has a database of press releases coded with key words. Either there was a hole in their enterainment section or someone at an editor's meeting said, "Summer is coming...how about a list of Top 10 coaters?" Regardless, someone did a search for "Top 10 coasters" and the database spit out press releases on those ten.
It was never intended as anything more than a fluff piece to fill space. Most likely it was not written by a editor on the staff but probably an intern. In the long run the whole thing is harmless...but certainly good for a laugh.
I work at the local paper, and I wanted to give a description like that, Moosh, but didn't want to sound pretentious. ;)
I shouldn't have said "most of the time". I should have said "sometimes".
Sometimes we have a hole that needs to be filled as time is running out, and we just put an announcement about an upcoming local government meeting or something. Rarely, I will write a small story just to fill a hole if there is time.
I suspect the same thing, Moosh. it's just a cute little something that the writer scrounged up at the last minute to fill some empty space, I'd imagine.

Did anyone take a look at the Youtube videos they posted of the rides? There is not one official video on there, and there should be at the very least two of them. One for Millennium Force and one for Dragster. All of them are just random videos that other people shot (most illegally) and put up on Youtube. Yes, it is funny at how off the list is, but I'm sorry the video thing is pathetic.
Wait, Steel Dragon 200 re-opened? I thought it was deemed 'cursed' and was left to be SBNO forever.
