Great idea. The way I see it, if you are giving an honest opinion about your ratings, you shouldn't be ashamed to see it posted.

Every rating I've seen B&M Rocks give so far has been a zero, also. What's the deal?
I tend to give between 4 and 7. If you get an 8 from me, you did a nice job. I think I've only ever given 2 or 3 - 10's.
Anywho, is there a way to select "show member ratings" and leave it on so that I wouldn't have to click it on each page?

Really? Show me some with zeros??? I will admit, I have given some zeros, but go check again, and you will find 90 percent of my ratings are real.....

EDIT: Oh yea, Funky seems to be a big problem also.
ANyway, I deleted my 10(give or take one or 2) coasters, because i plan on mabye re-uploading a few of them in a couple of months so they get ralistic ratings. And let me tell you, 1 out of every 5 votes my coasters received was a 0.

Truthfully, I think most of his coasters suck. I really really do. I will be honest, I dont like his coasters at all. No offense...
EDIT: I jst checked, and out of about 10 or so of his coasters I rated, I only gave 3 0's. The rest were between about 2-5. And that was what i thought his coasters deserved.

Well, I'm not here to cause problems, becuase quite frankly I don't take the ratings nearly as serious as some do, but I find it rather funny how much many of the coasters ratings have gone up since just this afternoon.
And B&M ROCKS, We can't point them out if you change them. At least 5 of mine had a "0" from you (which is fine) but now most of them are 5's. (which is less than fine if you really meant to give them a zero)
Secondly, it looks to me like the problem wasn't as bad as many made it out to be. I've yet to see someone getting a significant number of "spite zeroes" - it's usually just one and in a few rare occasions it's two. But the thing is we all have them on our highly rated coasters so it essentially cancels itself in comparing ratings among different coasters.
If this stops the worries and complaining then good, but looks like there really wasn't too big of a problem to begin with.

And i will not say i didnt do that Lord Gonchar. Give me a chance to explain.
2 of my recent coasters were both sitting on the top 10 with ratings of about 8. Suddenly, the next day they were both at about 7. And at the same time, 2 of your coasters appeared on the top 10, along with 2 of rolerfreak9. So I got very angry, and decided to give you and his recent coasters both 0's. Because i though you two had something to do with it.
Now, with the new rating system, I noticed who gave my coasters 0's. One was Funky21, and then someone else, who i forgot. So, after deleing my coasters, I wnt back and changed your ratings because I nw that you 2 werent the people who gave me the 0's.
Also, about the 5's. That is what I felt those coasters deserved, because they were not that good IMO, and I wasnt really into all the compact stuff.
Is it just me, or does 're-uploading' sound a little like attention-ho behavior? If your creation is that good, it should stay on the all-time top 10 list on its own merits...right?

No, no particular order.
And B&M Rocks, don't pretend you're innocent. When I started sorting ratings, you had almost the most zeros of anyone while rating other rides (including your own) as 10's. I tossed around the idea of booting you, but gave you the benefit of the doubt.

Wow very cool. Thanks Jeff for the change. It is enlightening to go back to older files and look at the individual ratings. It seems the problem has abated in the past few weeks. Less of a problem than I thought, recently. More of a problem than I thought in the past. Overall I think I good idea. The only drawback I see is now some may be less likely to give an honestly low rating due to concerns of how others may perceive that. I guess if they explain it in a comment that would also be overcome.

B&M ROCKS, not a problem. If you feel a zero is deserved by all means give it (or whatever you feel is warranted) - it was the sudden change in the ratings after they became public that raised the caution flag for me. No harm done.
I was also glad to see others rate their own coasters. I do. Mostly I give myself tens (however you'll find a few 8's and 9's if you look) I don't see it as "cheating" the system as I obviously think the ride is incredible otherwise I wouldn't have uploaded it. The ones I gave 8's and 9's I knew were flawed but didn't/couldn't improve. I figure if you stay honest, you have nothing to worry about.

I have to say that I got quite a few zeroes from B&M Rocks too. And bb_dg seems to like to dog my coasters too. And this Funky21, is he still a member? I am glad the ratings are now public and we can actually hold people accountable for their ratings. Perhaps B&M Rocks and bb_dg want to explain themselves???
Add to that list Will Kaner and Micheal Darling who gave me tons of zeroes as well.
