I actually love Trainers. I remember the old Dragon's IOA one. I could put Ferris Wheels on a roller coaster. That was fun to watch. Maybe it was a different trainer, but it was still good times!
I like Jeff's Sandbox, but I'll prolly modify it so I can just play w/o making rides so quickly. I'd also like to close the park so I can get rides in before people come in.

Jeff, I don't feel like arguing. I apologize. There are too many other things happening in this country and in the world for me to be uptight about who's opinion seems disrespectful.
No big deal.
Incidentally, the double-post was just an after-thought. I should have simply edited my other post. My bad. BTW, it was not only Natalie's, but YOUR opinion also, that ultimately led me to buy the game.
Clueless,
I didn't know exactly what the scenario editor did. I didn't have the game yet when I posted my comments. But to answer your question, I like to use trainers for the ability to add money so I can create whatever I want without worrying about waiting until I have the money. Unlike a lot of people who play the game, I see RCT as a creative program to express the ideas in my head for how I would like a park to look. When RCT first came out, I didn't care about finishing the scenarios. In fact, there are some scenarios from the original versions that I still have not even looked at. I like to design things - anything from amusement parks to to buildings to cities. It is a hobby of mine to just design stuff. But I don't have a powerful enough computer, or the money, to utilize design programs that would allow me to see my creations "come to life" (so to speak). If I design a coaster, I want to see it in full motion. If I design a building, I want to see it in 3-D. If I design a park, I want to see how it looks from different angles. When I first saw various games like RCT, or the Sim City games, I thought they were really cool programs I could utilize to at least give some sort of life to the visions in my head. Using a trainer makes it easier for me to work on those visions. I don't care about beating scenarios, or reaching certain goals. I simply want to have the freedom to create what I want in the game when I want to. Hope that explains why I like trainers.

But if that's the way you end up building things, you're not doing it right. On most scenarios you can establish a revenue stream up front in the first year, and build away from there.
