There is Already a RCT2 Trainer Out!

I found a money/time trainer at http://gameguru.box.sk/cheat.php3?cheat=5945

It just has 2 basic funtions, get loads of money and freeze time.

I bet there will bigger and better trainers on the way in the next few weeks. But for now I'll have to settle on this one.

Why would we need it when we have sandbox mode?

-----------------
You see things and you say "Why?"
But I dream things that never were, and I say "Why Not?"

Because some people just feel the need for such things.

When someone makes a full RCT1-RCT2 scenario converter, THEN I might be interested.

I just want a trainer like the one that was available for the first version of RCT (before expansion packs) that would allow people to go on *anything* that you built, it's a nice option for when you have a really wicked design that's untameable.

I use that trainer cause I like to freeze time so I don't have to keep my park rating above 700. I use Jeff's Super Sandbox, so I don't need the money....couldn't care less about it.

That one that would put people on anything would be nice...since people don't seem to want to go on a 590 ft drop ride as the intensity rating is 25.00.

-----------------

I don't use trainers in the scenarios, just when I am playing around and making re-creations.

...says the idiot who actually ran into a glass sliding door.

Why would you want to ruin the fun of RCT2 with a trainer.

If your issue is park closure after being under 700 for 4 weeks, change the criteria for success.

Save the Super Sandbox, untouched, as a game.
Then use the toolbox to convert the saved game back to a scenario.
Set the "win" criteria to something easy.
Like 5 coasters with excitement of 4 or higher.
Open the sceanario, plant 5 pre-made coasters.
You win!
Dump the premades, save your park, and you're good to go with no cash or time limits.

1:35am, and I finally get some time to play.

Okay, I guess I post too often to be a lurker now.

First, why does eveyone think using a trainer ruins the fun of the game? For some people, it is more fun to use a trainer because it allows for the ability to be more creative. Not everyone enjoys playing for the challenge. We like to simply use the game as a creative outlet, and build what we like without having to worry about making sure we beat a scenario. Using a trainer may not be fun for YOU, but it is for us. And since our game does not affect your game, why does it bother people if we like to use them? No offense ;-)

Second - what is this "Super Sandbox" I keep reading about?

Third - does the scenario editor allow you to specify how much money you want to play with?

If you're worried about stifling creativity - you can start a scenario with money disabled. Won't make money, nothing costs money, it's simply just not there.

A trainer doesn't make you more creative. Hell, I'd go as far to say that it stifles creativity. Most scenarios force you to be clever or use the shape of the land to create unique rides.

All I ever do with a trainer is add money. I don't add a lot, just enough to get me started and slightly established. Then, I use that money to build up a decent sized park and go from there. Once I have people coming in, the only money I have is what is being generated by admission price. I almost always go bankrupt. But, for me, the fun thing is getting out of bankruptcy and creating a steady budget. To get out of bankruptcy, one has to think. I get creative, as I am sure other people would. So, in a sense, I do not feel it is too far fetched saying that trainers allow players to be creative. But, that is merely my opinion.

Your opinion, Jeff. I respect that. Can you respect mine?

Nobody's disrespecting yours. There's a difference between disrespect and disagreement. Get over it.

YOU get over it, Jeff. Touchy touchy. I'm trying to be a nice guy. YOU'RE the one that seems to have a problem with my opinion.
Natalie, thank you for your answer. That was all I really needed to know before deciding to buy the game. Now, I think I'll get it.

How do you interpret from words that I "have a problem" with your opinion? I disagree with it. So what? At no time did I call you a big ugly stupid dummyhead or other such crimes.

And please don't double post.

You're probably the first person I've seen say what I've thought since the original RCT trainers began popping up. With all of the freedom of a trainer I go blank - I almost NEED restrictions to get the juices flowing. My most creative coasters are the ones that I'm forced to use too little money in too little space and still make a ride the peeps enjoy. Glad to know I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Nope, you're far from the only one. There are certainly times when I feel unusual in that I like playing the game for the sake of completing the scenarios!
