Theming for Raptor

I would just like to know your opinion on what theming cp should put on Raptor since i have heard rumors about theming going into CP next year and also heard that Raptor would be getting some theming. If this is true... What kind do you think? What would you like to see by Raptor? ~Just give your opinion~
If its anything to the degree of Batman: TR theming, it would be awesome. Batman:TR has one of the best themes for a rollercoaster.
I don't think Cedar Point is doing any 'theming'. If they are, I really think that they shouldn't. They never have used themes. Why now? Besides, that's what sets CP apart from other Parks. No themes. (Except for Disaster Transport) Keep it the way it is. That's what I say.

I agree. Cedar Point has always prided itself on its "traditional amusement park" atmosphere. To change that now would be to change the very essence of what makes CP great.
Let me get this straight. You guys enjoy standing in line for a coaster with no theming to pass the time? What does that have to do with pride of CP? Theming adds to waiting for a coaster so dont give me that bull that you want to wait in a boring long*****line for a coaster. I find myself socializing with buddys or a significant other in line with theming and enjoying its qualities. That is what Disney prides itself on and it works!!!!!!!

As for CP and theming, what about the Cedar Creek Mine Ride? Frontiertown was built with the attractions themed accordingly.
The only thing they should do is add a little shade. It gets hot waiting in line for an hour and I felt like I was going to pass out.

Theming is overated. Look at PKI, it's usually chessy. Look at IOA, it's too much. My opinion, but I can't see spending ridiculous sums of money on theming. Spend it on new attractions or maintenance, or whatever is truly needed.
Actually, I think theming is underrated. The larger parks have not fully tapped into it's appeal. In 1992, when Batman: The Ride opened at SFGAm, all us locals were blown away. All I remember me and my friends saying was "They went all out". And it doesn't take much or have to be very expensive. I mean really, how much did it cost to get a wrecked police car and a broken toilet?!? But the effect was great. And for those of you who dont know. One of the theming effects was taken away from B:TR. In that 1st year, right before the floor would drop, fog would release in the station, from the floor up to the riders ankles. When the fog dissipated, the floor was about six inches lower and you were off. When you returned, the fog would return as well, again covering your ankles. When it dissipated, the floor was in it's normal position. The riders and the ppl in the ques never got to actually see the floor move. That, in conjunction, with the dark music, the then unknown sensation of inverteds, and the overall details in the queues, made the experience that much more intense. And that's likely the main reason I defend B:TR so hard. It might not be the best ride, but it was my best ride experience.

As a side note, I agree with Jeff. CP has no incentive to theme Raptor in any way. They themed Avalance Run into DT because AR was losing ridership. Period, point blank.

The Batman clone at SixFlagsStLouis does that...well, they did it when I was there in July of this year
What do you mean there's nothing to look at while waiting in line? Just look at the steel supports and walls, all that gum could be considered abstract painting. hehe

Seriously, more shade for the lines would be nice.

First of all Themeing does not help in line. When I am in line I look at the coaster and listen to the music. Raptor having a theme is stupid, they would not do that 7 years (wow its that old) of it running. Cedar Point doesn't need any themes, I like the PO!NTs atmosphere

Number 1 And Only Cedar Point
The one and only thing I didn't like about CP is the maze lines. Back and fourt, back and fourth, it gets boring. The spray-fans, dj's, etc. are a good idea but they should make the line a little more interesting.

The worst thing about the Raptor queue is the big brown and black fence that surrounds the interior portion of it. There is no air circulation in there, and those fences just trap the heat. Would it have killed them to put in a fence that lets the breeze off the water come in?

I don't think Raptor needs theming, but I would agree that theming helps a queue. In order to theme Raptor, the name would have to be changed to something more "theme-able." B:TR, Top Gun, Alpengeist and others have built-in themes that were concieved as a whole package. I mean, what could you do to theme Raptor?

So you want a coaster in your backyard? I hope you have a big backyard.
I suppose you could always throw a bunch of bird crap all over the queue. That's about all the themeing that I can think of that would work for Raptor.

You build it, I'll ride it
Uhm, correct me if i'm wrong here, but i don't think a raptor flies. Wasn't it the one thaat could run run fast with the long legs and the big claws, like in the film JP ?
They should change it to VelociRaptor. Then they could have a Jurassic Park theme....lol...
no i think raptor is a bird~ the logo has a beak
